Morning peeps
finally managed to switch off about 1am and had a really good sleep.
been out with the woofaloes this morning and just had a nice brekkie of scramblies and mushrooms.
Looks like rain here today but i`ve put the washing out - just need to keep an eye on it, i`m off into the green house later as i`m really struggling to get in there atm, i`m going to have to chop some of the leaves/branches off things as its like triffid city. Its only a small 8x6 greenhouse and there are 12 tomato plants, 10 peppers,2 courgettes and two cucumber plants in there, the cukes are scrambling everywhere and threatening to pull two of the tomato plants over
Sweet - i`d love to know the syn value of the wine, i`ve no idea how to work it outI`ve never even measured the alcohol content either - i just know that its strong.
Mystery - When i came back home earlier i noticed something on the floor at one end of the room, it looked like a clear spent shotgun cartridge. My first though was "whats the dog been doing now" turned out its the top of one of the airlocks from a demijohn. I`m experimenting with a coffee wine thats supposed to be like tia maria and it has fermented so rapidly that it blew the top off :rotfl: cleaned it all up now and the demi john is stood in the sink for the time being.
Mazzers - Body clocks are funny things to change, i know how you feel being up early on days off - it happens to me all the time as i change shifts a lot and it gets me down sometimes. Have a nap later if you can, i find it usually helps.
Alias - Are you still asleep or have you dragged the paddling pool down the garden in memory of the hot tub?
I have oodles of things to do today but i don`t think that i`m going to botherthis is my last day off before being back at work tomorrow and i need a bit of laziness to recuperate. May do some cooking later but i also need to sort out the fridge and work out what i`ll be eating for the next few days. May even make a cake for DH later if i`m in the right frame of mind. I`m going to read some of my old SW book too
Have good days everyone!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
What a great way to exercise mystery  two and a half hours and not even noticing.. brill.
Had my nap SD, dont feel very energetic though, do so much rushing about in work that i'm worn out, didnt even get my second break coz i forgot about it.
Daisy, doesn't it make you realise why we put on weight in the first place when you see how little alcohol is allowed for the syns it uses, def not worth it.
I always used to say if i didnt like alcohol i could eat lots more nice things.0 -
Yeah, the alcohol thing is frightening.
I'm feeling a bit glum. I've only lost 1 lb in the past two weeks - that's freaking expensive pound. I want to know why it's so slow. I have had two glasses of wine in two weeks, which I just can't see as being the cause, and if it is, what hope is there for me once I'm trying to maintain? I could neck two glasses of wine without blinking. Gah.
On a brighter note, am going to be getting an iphone this week, MSE style. A guy at work is upgrading to iphone 4 and is selling me his 3GS for the same money he'd get from 02 (£210). Then I'm going to use a £10 a month sim only plan from T mobile, which is what I pay now with Virgin. Very exciting!0 -
sweet - stick with extra easy for now - till you get it straight in your mind
That may take some time
i have a larger version of the food diaries on my pc if you want me to send you them ?
Yes please, I'll pm you my email, thanks for all your help (past, present & future!!)Mystery-Lover wrote: »Sweet - I am so impressed you did it!! Now I know I have to go to RC lol!
Yes, you do!!
P.S When I took the dog out last night I was listening to the wind in the trees and had a sudden image of the group hug icon with a big tree in the middle lol!!!

See, to me, that doesn't constitute a bit of laziness, sounds like you're doing quite a bit of stuff there, it would be for me anyway!!:rotfl:
Oh well, day one of SW & things are not quite going to planI won't go into menu details here (think I'll join the SW thread for that, lucky them!!) but I think I've somehow managed to have 2 Healthy Extra 'b' choices instead of just the one I think I'm supposed to have??:o Oh bum, looks like it's back to the drawing board for me, I feel such a dunce!! :rotfl:

if you have had more than one B just syn it - for example sometimes i have egg and bacon on toast but take a roll to work - both HEB so i syn the toast at 4 syns as its lower than the roll - and no damage done:j MFi3 wannabee :j
mortgage owing 04.07 £36,000
mortgage owing 07.10 £0 !!!!

Dammit, I should have synned the porridge & not the 2 pieces of toast, I could have saved myself over 1 syn!! I'll know next time!! :rotfl:0

Afternoon everyone!!
Having a slightly sneaky skive as the boss has dissapeared so I thought I would come on here and see what everyone is up to!!
sunny - it sounds like that coffee wine would blow your socks off lol!!:D I hope it turns out well
daisy & sweet - it sounds like a secret club with it's own code not a diet lol!! :rotfl:
mazzer - just think though, all that rushing around means you don't have to exercise when you get home so you can never feel bad about putting your feet up and having a well deserved restCan I be impressed that my size 14 combats keep trying to escape. I've tied the little bit of thing together to keep them up, and still they fall!
You can indeed!!! :j
Lucky you, it's all my old size 14 clothes that I am trying to fit back into!!
I've been slightly bad! Someone brought in cookies at lunchtime and I just had to have the white chocolate one lol! So no snacks when I get home, just steamed salmon with a little bit of salad and some sweetcorn!! Good thing is I am not cooking for once yay!!
Ooo got to run the boss is coming over!! xx0 -
Hi all! You all seem to be getting on well so I wont jinx things by telling you what I had for lunch. :rotfl:
I've spent today driving for miles to try to find some oak architrave and can I get what I want? Nope, can I hell.
I sometimes think the Highlands are populated by sheep from a bygone age. There seems to be a standard way of doing things around here and if you want to deviate from that, it costs you handsomely. I've found plenty of places in England who stock what I want but wont deliver up here. it's like a DIY version of FootLoose. (Living in a different century and refusing to embrace new ways.) I've got one more place to try tomorrow so wish me luck!
I'm getting back to feeling like I want to sort my eating out again but I've got far too much to deal with at the moment with the house and insurance etc so I wont be starting right now, it would be daft. I took back a lot of those clothes I bought and got refunds today and I'm not going to buy anything else untill the size label is smaller.
Btw, I think it's safe to say the acupuncture has worked well with the pms. I can hand on heart say I have not felt the usual anger and explosive irritation I'd also felt previously. AND (not sure if this is a coincidence or not) my period this time has been much, much lighter. I can't comment on the whether it's had any effect on my pms binges that I had going on, as I haven't actually been dieting lately anyway but I would definitely state it's been of benefit and worth the money.
Once the kitchen has been fixed again and we're back home......I'm going for the hypnotherapy. I'm a convert to all things 'alternative'.:D
sunny, I think you should host a meet at your place. I think it'd be a laugh. :rotfl:
mazzers, shut yer face, you got what you wanted.:rotfl:Tiredness is for OLD folk, you'll adapt soon pet.
:D
sweet......'tis like 'a day in the life of' :rotfl: methinks you and this SW malarky could be our entertainment for a while.(But I still wish you loads of luck with it.)
daisy, don't suppose you got any nice pics of male beefcake on you pc you could send me? Think that might be marginally more exciting than diet diaries. :rotfl:
Oh well, can't remember who else wrote what so I guess that's my ranblings done for now. See you all later. *waves*Herman - MP for all!0
