Must do better when I am feeling emotional and low
It's so easy to just grab something naughty to eat when you're feeling down, I think we've all been there.
Those brambly apple donuts do sound good though
Morning :hello:
It's finally started raining here & I can breathe a sigh of relief, has been far too hot & sticky for me lately. DD2 still off school poorly so I won't be getting out for a walk today, I'm desperate to get out as well!!
Food for today:
pre-B - raspberry protein shake
B - 2 pork steaks & 2 fried eggs
L - 2 lc crispbreads with butter & cheese, cold meat salad (leftover from yesterday)
D - daisy's chicken pie with green beans
I've felt rough for a few daysIt may be the weather/totm but I'm also wondering if sometimes I'm being too low-carb or not eating enough?? Anyway I've decided to buy some vitamins, just in case. I've been looking at my IPD book & will get what they suggest, think it's going to be a dear do though!!
Hope everyone doing ok today :wave:0 -
Morning everyone, it's coming up to TOTM for me and I have stalled - thank god, I am quite happy at the weight I am now so need to maintain but it is such a fine line, I am an all or nothing kind of girl
Anyways, found an atkins section in Boots last nite, OMG how expensive are the bars?
Well done peeps on the determination of everyone, it's really uplifting.
Oh that was it, I knew there was something else I was meant to say, OH told me I had 'atkins breath' last night, I was mortified, any other low carbers getting that? What do I do? carry mouthwash with me everywhere? Sugar free mints maybe?0 -

Foxy, H&B do low carb bars of chocolate, they're not that great but not too bad either, I prefer them to Atkins bars but they are much smaller and a lot cheaper:).Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Morning all. Bit dull here again today and weather forecast is cloud and rain for the next week.
Not going to get too much done in the garden then.
Feeling really nervous today, got to tidy up for insurance man coming tomorrow. I've read and been told so much about how they do all they can to not pay out that I'm becoming paranoid, it's all I can think of. I've warned eldest that if he opens his mouth just once whilst the man is in, I'll whack him one! Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing to hide, but eldest says stupid things because of his disibilities and he often causes issues just because of the rubbish he comes out with. His brain makes weird 'links' between fact and fiction sometimes but people who don't know him, can think there's some basis for what he's saying and that makes them not take everything else at face value iyswim? All I need is for him to say something like 'Mum turned the hose on' and I can see the assessor's face now. He wont know I did turn the hose on but I was in the garden at the time. :rotfl: Sometimes the more you try to explain, the more it looks like you're hiding something.
I just know I'm gonna end up having to do all this myself again and I don't think I can face it, it was such a pain to do in the first place. Best of it is, I had to renew the insurance again yesterday - £500 it cost! If the assessor isn't fair then I'll cancel the insurance and go elsewhere, I've got a 21 day cooling off period.
Nerves are helping the diet though, lol.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Hi all
Foxy - I carry breath spray with me everywhere. Become second nature now to have a quick squirt a few times a day!
Alias - can't you arrange for your son to be conveniently out at the timethe assessor comes?0 -
Morning peeps
got weighed this morning and i`ve gained a pound, was expecting it really as i ate nothing until late and then all at once IYKWIM.
Back to a routine this morning and i`ve just had my cooked brekkie, dinner will be salami & cheese and i`m not sure whats for tea yet, i shall root around in the freezer shortly.
The cat has got the face on big time as she`s not being allowed out atm, we found a baby fledgeling sparrow on the front garden last night and OH shooed the cat away and we popped it in the greenhouse overnight. It was in total shock so we wern`t really expecting it to survive but i put an old towel in there and some water and some seed which is for very young birds and we wedged the door so that the bird could get out but none of the neighbourhood cats could get in.
This morning we opened the door about half six and the bird was behind the pots and the seed has all gone, one of the parent birds has been flying down with food for it too.
I know the chances arn`t really good but hopefully it will be able to fly soon and get back up to the nest in the eaves.
I`m having a huge clean upstairs today as its a lot cooler cos we had rain overnight, need to take advantage as its like a sty in here and this is my last day off.
Alias - Hope that the rain holds off for you today. Hope the assessor that you get is a big softy that you can wrap around ya finger
Sweet - Each day i take a multivitamin (morrisons about £2 for 60ish) and an evening primrose (asda £4 but tub has loads in) and a castor oil ( any which are cheapest at time of buying) works for me. I take these regardless of dieting. I do know that without the EP i`m a horrible wound up stressed heap :rotfl: Hope they never stop making them
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
We don't know exactly when he's turning up, it's an open appointment, nowhere for son to go for that length of time unfortunately.
Send him to his room with chocs and a film, or something for a game thingy?
Keep it at the ready.
Now remember, be firm, you have a geniune claim and have paid your premiums.0 -
