Glowgirl... be careful. You always get payback in the end.... that's a lesson I learnt very early on with low carbing. Often you think you've got away with it and then... wham. It appears like a depressing magic trick.

    Am drooling thinking about it.
I am having my 'blow out and sod the low carbing - eat everything and drink everything' this weekend:D
I've worked hard for 5 weeks now and need a day of from it.

I have packed in eating salad, can't stomach the stuff anymore, I literally couldn't swallow it anymore, oh an burgers I have gone off as well, and eggs are slowly starting to turn my stomach now.

Just picking at stuff now to be honest as I just don't really care about having a big meal.

I am craving donuts and ice cream though:(

Foxy, don't you just need to find a few new recipes? It seems a shame to undo all your good work.

It's my anniversary this weekend and DH is whisking us away somewhere - it's a secret! Very exciting. He said I need my swimming costume and my secretary outfit (ahem). I'm going to stick to plan with a glass of wine in there too. It will mean mixing up sachets in the bedroom but I don't care, I'm so close to my goal weight now I'm just not going to stuff it up. Just got into a lovely size 12 dress in Monsoon but stopped myself from buying it in case it goes into the sale. Size 12 again though! So thrilling. It's become my favourite lunchtime activity, mooching round the shops and trying on clothes. Used to hate it. Now I'm forcing myself to try all sorts of different styles I never would have before.

I had a slightly embarrassing moment earlier to day. :o

I usually go about in bare feet, even if I'm outside in the garden. As a result, my feet are not the bonniest things on the planet. I have more than my fair share of hard skin etc.

As I've been moving the shed and laying slabs in the garden all weekend, I've been wearing crocs with no socks and the earth/dirt/cement etc has got inside the crocs whilst I've been wearing them. Obviously I've been showering, but the hard skin just looks grubby no matter how much I scrub them. Couple that with my mssing toenail and the one beside it which is about to fall off next, I'm not exactly a walking advert for 'bonny feet r us' :D.

Soooooo today, since I was going to the acupuncturist, I decided to wear socks with my crocs so she wouldn't see the state of my clean but horrible feet (unheard of usually, but my long jeans covered most of my foot so you couldn't see the socks anyway).

Where does she decide to stick the needles today? Yip, in my feet. I was mortified. Had a needle in each foot, one at each knee and each elbow and one in the top of my head. When she was taking them out, she massaged my feet. :o I couldn't relax and enjoy it cos I was so mortified. I clearly need to add a chiropodist onto my list of people to see.

Anyway.......she gave me the number of a girl who does hypnotherapy and the gastric band thing......I'm going to phone her and ask her to make me think I'm anorexic for 2 months. Between that and the acupuncture, I should be a lot thinner by then. :rotfl:

(Hope I haven't inadvertantly offended anyone, I do realise anorexia is a serious and very debilitating condition.)

Sorry alias, i was writing my post and went wandering off so you posted and i hadnt seen it.. so there, you're not invisible after all ;)

OMG, i cant believe what you said about the stitching on the hammock, i've actually been sunning myself today, middleys gf is staying here and i kept her company in the sun, had a lovely couple of hours on the hammock and............ the stitching has frayed, and come apart, but only on mine :o
There is even an a*se groove in mine
    I'll never live it down.
The reviews said it was great for the heftier person tho, and one said her hubby and kids had been on hers and it was fine so maybe it's just faulty

    Afternoon peeps

:rotfl: at the hammock Mazzers - i learned quite a while ago to only have heavy wooden garden chairs :D i have distant memories of falling through thin material type chairs, never again :o Take it back and point out that the stitching wasn`t very good on the frayed part.

Well i`ve had a busy day, overlaid this morning (day off so not too bad) i slept on the sofa as DH was away overnight and i can`t carry the anvil (little old doggie) upstairs so we all slept downstairs, i was out like a light after some late night telly and woke just after 9

Raced round to get the houndies out for their walk before it got too hot then went to Asda for some bits and bobs and the pet shop too. Got some reduced D&A sausages so i`ll cook them later and pop them in the fridge. Also got some of the raspberry ripple smartprice mousses, not for me though the doggies have em when its hot to keep them cool :p

Got home just in time for my pal to visit so we had a cuppa in the garden and then as she left Mum arrived with some bits and bobs for me. I was starving so i`ve just eaten the rest of yesterdays fish pie.

Sweet the pie was gorgeous thanks for the recipe, i shall definitely make that again, there were 4 portions but i ate half yesterday and half today, apart from that i`ve only eaten 2 pieces of salami all day as i`ve not had chance to cook anything. When it cools later i shall venture into the kitchen.

Alias - My freezer is almost as big as me and holds months worth of grub, i wouldn`t have been able to eat enough to make a difference, glad the session went ok, i had a visiting chiropodist years ago and the difference that it made to my feet was amazing, i always said that i would keep it up but i never did. Tried some sandals on earlier and realised just how bad my tootie pegs looked so will be messing about with them myself in a bit to get them looking a bit better for my hols. They would scare small children atm :D

Tried some jeans on earlier, despite folding my two tums over several times and trying to tuck them in the waistband i still couldn`t get them on properly never mind fastened :rotfl: gotta laugh really, if anyone could have seen they would have been horrified :D

On a better note this is my 7th day of lcing and i`ve lost 7lb :j:j

I don`t think that not eating properly today will have done me any good but i`ve not had anything that i shouldn`t so no real damage done, back to a normal routine tomorrow.

Salads mmmmmmmm i make salad with white cabbage as it keeps longer, i get out the food processor and use the shredding/slicing blade and in goes half a white cabbage, a red and green pepper, a couple of red onions a couple of carrots and occasionally radishes. Tip the whole lot into a bowl and fill it with water then tip it through a colander, stand the colander in a big bowl in the fridge with a plate or cling film on top and it lasts for 3/4 days, i just grab a handful when i want some. I always put a huge dollop of mayo on the plate when i`m eating it and shake both garlic granules and scwartz salad seasoning or spicy seasoning over the top. Its lovely and i prefer it to a wet dressing. The salad is great and keep longer using the cabbage instead of lettuce. If adding cucumber do it when serving as the cuke is too moist to keep long sliced up. Great for hot days when you can`t be bothered. Hubs gets an instant tea as i grab some and put it on a plate with cottage cheese and some kid of meat and pickles, looks like i`ve taken ages making it and not two mins tops :D

Think i`ll cook the sausages now instead of later as a breeze has just got up, may get to watch some telly later if i get a move on.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
