Morrisons Rant!!

I used to have breakfast every other week at Morrisons after taking someone shopping there. One time I noticed my cutlery had dried food on it. That's not really a big deal because they can't check every bit of cutlery but when I went to get some more out of a full cutlery tray every single knife and fork had the remains of someone elses food on it. It was like they'd just given everything a quick swill under the tap.
Now I go to Asda for breakfast which is much cleaner and as an added bonus much cheaper as well.0 -
Maybe he had some form of dementia. We will all get old one day.
A colleague at work had a bank card that kept getting refused, and even our boss couldn't put her wages into her account by bacs, so sometimes it isn't always the clients fault. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

I had that happen at Tesco, and asked for the manager, showing him the state of the cutlery. They had to take the lot for another wash. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Actually one piece alone could show sub-standard practice as each item should be thoroughly polished in hot water before being presented to the customers, or returned to the kitchen if found to be in an unsatisfactory condition. Sorry that's just the picky Hospitality Student in me coming out.Male.

Throwing my two pence in I have experience of bad customer service at Morrisons, one where a cash machine swallowed my card due to a power cut at the store and another where some assistants thought it was OK to let a couple of lads push in at the self service tills and then spend 10 mins flirting with them
Tesco's,Asda and Sainsburys seem to manage OK on the customer service side, why can't Morrisons? The World come on.....0 -
The only time i have ever had a problem with a checkout person at Morrisons,i went to the customer service desk and told her what had happened. She said it would definitely be acted upon because they had been watching this particular member of staff anyway for previous complaints. Now maybe i was just fortunate as i know this customer service lady, having shopped there for about 18 years, and they are always polite and helpful if ever an item has been charged wrongly .
I have had more problems with sullen staff in Tescos.I think it really is all down to individuals in different stores. We can all have off days. But there is no excuse whatsover for being so rude to someone, especially the elderly .0 -

i guess it depends on the store . i used to work in asda and my superviser had someone crying every shift customers included. had 100s of complants agenst her but she still worke there(i left about 3 years ago) form what i have noticed she is still no better. i once had to call her as a customer of mine had a question about the clothing sale. i cant even rember what it was ... she told the customer she was a stupid b***.( i should point out its not just person i have had poor cutsomer servies from many ppl at this asda) i have moved now and there is another asda near by that one seems ok so far, but my morrisosn apart from long ques is fantastic. only lived hear a few months bus so far so good. sanisburys near me is also very good.0 -
What a horrific experience! Thinking this store would save me money....was a BIG mistake and the trauma encountered by the awful staff was enough to turn me agoraphobic!
The till operator actually said the F word, the Supervisor took 15 minutes to respond to the request for help from said till operator (hence the F word) and the value packs I bought....frozen cod, bread and sweetcorn are such poor quality I am reluctant to feed them to the chickens! I could go on but feel I have wasted enough time on this dreadful store...shame on you Richard Hammond!
If you want to save money....avoid Morrisons like the plague as you'll end up buying a bottle of Vodka just to erase the memory and after taste of their food!0 -
I'm willing to bet the supervisor was a lady with dark hair? Name begins with M?0

I'm willing to bet there was nothing wrong with the OP's card. The Morrisons card reading machines are rubbish, even the checkout staff have told me they are tired of them acting up. One in three times my card is refused and I have to run it through a second time, and sometimes a third. This is nothing to do with the card, the card's perfect, it's the machines or some aspect of the set-up.
Whilst I'm on about Morrisons, where the heck to they get the fish counter staff from? Ignorantville? Do they actually serve anyone, ever? They stand there in the back, fully aware there are people waiting, and refuse to actually come out and do their job. Sometimes there will be two or three back there and still nobody serves. Occasionally they'll come out from their little hole, ignore the queue, walk over to the pre-packaged area and start "neatening up" the display, pushing stuff around and chattering aimlessly. Then, after 5 minutes, they'll go back into their hole again and start messing about whilst the queue builds up even further (or, as often happens, people just leave).
This isn't just one staff member, it's anyone who serves on that counter. Which suggests that they are actually trained to ignore the customer. Perhaps they're saving the fish for later or something. Maybe after work they all get naked and slap each other with rancid haddock.0
