Yep, mine was similar. I was rejected. I forgot about the bank signups! I need to do my stooze rollover in a few weeks so I am hoping the damage is not too bad0 -
Capyboppy wrote:Noticed there was a difference between Soba's reply (which was the same as mine after double checking) and BarGin's. BarGin's says "You are one of the first people in the UK to be accepted for this superb card offering 0% p.a. on balance transfers and new purchases for 12 months. Not only that, but you also get the great rate of 12.9% APR after your introductory offer." Which makes me think that BarGin's is the Transformation card, and Soba myself and others who don't have the above text included have the correct "Everyday" Card with the 3% cashback. obviously we won't know if we have got the right card until it comes. Is it possible (as I haven't gone back to look yet) that some of us have clicked on the wrong card by mistake? As they are very similar, and one is above the other it would be easy to do if having a "scatty" moment.
I was accepted this morning after applying late last night and also received the same e-mail. I applied directly through link from Martin's article which took me to a sign up page for the Everyday card only, so no danger of having applied for the wrong card.
I wondered if I would be accepted as only last week I applied for a Lloyds c/a and reg. saver a/c, my personal income is low and my other cards are always paid in full each month. However I am on the electoral roll and have lived here for 30 years so perhaps that is a big plus.
Would be interesting to know exactly how they are selecting new customers.0 -
This looks a wonderful deal so makes me read the T&C's even more thoroughly than usual.
Spotted this: 'We will send you statements showing the date for payment. This will usually be 5 days after the statement date.'
So, do the statements arrive 5 days after the statement date, or is the payment date 5 days after the statement date? Can't see anything about maximum number of days of credit.
Am I being paranoid?Wearing my other one today.0 -
hmmm... not sure how much faith I've got in GE - after receiving both a rejection and acceptance email, I've now received a PIN and a rejection letter (in separate envelopes) in the post!
If they were a bank I wouldn't trust them with my money, but as they're going to be lending me their's I might risk it!Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Hi All,
Recieved my PIN today too - Think I lost the plot though, looks like you need to pull up the flap to read the PIN. I 'cleverly' scratched it with a penny (like the A&L scratch off PINs) - No idea what the PIN is now!
Will have to ask for another when I phone up to activate!
Cheers

Hi iomexico,
Tried that again and no luck - Maybe it really was faulty, else I managed to scrub it too much!
Are you meant to just peel back the plastic, then rub the paper, or rub the plastic cover.
Tried both bits, neither seem to have any number on them.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers

I applied on-line 8 days ago (Friday night of the BH weekend).
Apart from an email confirming the application I have nothing. O phoned them on Wednesday and they said they'd been inundated and were a bit behind.
Surely, they could have sent an email advising when the decision would be made.
Not very confident that GE Bank are for me.
