The 3% cashback is nothing compared to what they can make on that.
They get less than 3% from merchants, so the cashback is a loss. And I doubt it can be sustained anyway.
This may well have been dealt with by now (just found the thread) but I always have paid my full amount by DD at the end of every month.
I was accepted for the GE card, got it week before last, set up a DD for full amount and have already had my first statement - I've made £2.50 already! Not bad for doing nowt!C'est le ton qui fait la chanson0 -
I had to stay on hold for 20 minutes yesterday. I found that an early call at 0800 has better results (less than 5mins).0

Another possibility is try the numbers at http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php the one that's possibly the best is
0208 1810000 GE Capital Card services- Account enquires (diverts to Leeds)Conjugating the verb 'to be":

It was for a PC I carried away from Comet. No reason to delay the charge to my account unless as I said they are delaying it until they have sorted their software so they only pay 0.5% cashback insread of 3%.
Or perhaps they won't charge me :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I will not know until the next statement arrive now towards the end of Oct.Regards

I received my card in May 06 - it took about 6 weeks to turn up after successful application.
First off I didn't receive the credit agreement to sign and send back, so had to chase them for another (the first could have been lost in the post, to be fair). I received my PIN twice, then my card eventually made an appearance.
Overall I wasn't that impressed (particularly when I realised there was no online banking), but it appears to work and I've not had any issues.
Oh and when I called to chase them for where the card was, I was told they had a huge backlog that they were working through (looks like they've yet to clear it...)0 -
Signed up for my card in June and took 6 weeks to get my card. Noticed my credit limit was lower than what I wanted to tansfer. When I phoned to activate my card I got put through to customer services as their system was down and queried the bal tfr. She said that I would receive a letter re the bal tfr but this has not happened. Infact, nothing from them at all. I think I'm going to cancel and go elsewhere.0

Got my card over the weekend after about 10 days of waiting, but there is no mention in the literature about the bonus being doubled up for three months. Did anyone get this information with their card?Fiscal drag, that's my problem. Too many people dragging on my fiscals.0
