GE '3%' Cashback Card

But then again, who in their right mind would withdraw cash on a CC?
Someone who needed it in an emergency e.g. debit card stolen.0 -
I have done in the past. But that was in the very distant past, when they charged interest from the statement date, not from the date of the withdrawal, and when there was no minimum fee. I'm pretty sure Barclaycard used to charge 1.5 per cent, so a withdrawal of a tenner cost 15p.Stompa wrote:But then again, who in their right mind would withdraw cash on a CC?
Also, you could avoid interest by paying off one credit card with a cash advance from another. This would be pointless now, unless you get a zero per cent deal.0 -

Taking cash out abroad on a Nationwide credit card can be cheaper than using other debit cards.
I don't have all the figures to hand, but Nationwide charge NO commission (but withdrawal fee and interest on cash on credit cards), other cards e.g. my Nat West card charge 2.75% commission.
So the Nationwide credit card can be cheaper than other debit cards abroad for foreign cash, but it depends largely on how quickly you pay it back.0 -
My statement has just arrived. 3% on everything as well (£20
) with the accumulated cashback from previous months taken off this months statement.
Interesting that chay have changed clause 7 of the T&C. " We may pay cashback at a percentage we set from time to time on the value of all Retail Purchases"0 -
Does anyone remember what it said before?KTF wrote:Interesting that chay have changed clause 7 of the T&C. " We may pay cashback at a percentage we set from time to time on the value of all Retail Purchases"0 -
I've had my statement today and it shows interest charged at 13p! Weird as I clear my bill each month. Its such a small amount so not worth querying.0

It is it they have put a missed/late payment mark on your file as a result.0

One thing I noticed on my statement was that it did not included a non food/fuel purchase I made on 9 Sept for £730 but did include a fuel purchase I made on 14 Sept. Wonder if they have deliberatley held this to avoid giving 3% cashback?Anybody else had any missing purchases?Regards

I applied for this card on 20th September but have heard nothing
. I told my Dad about it and within half an hour of applying (on the same day as me) he had a reply and has been successful:mad:. 0 -
I find this card gets declined ocassionally.
Today - o2 topup - declined.
Last week Asda ok, week before - declined.
3 weeks back - Car insurance purchase online - declined.
Luckily I have another for day-to-day purchases.
Do they charge merchants more to use this card, hence the refusals?
Anyone else getting randon declines?*************************
