Yes, it certainly seems a little behind the times in that respect?
Has anybody had any experience with making an electronic payment from their current account (online) to the GE card?0 -

The entire balance of the first statement was due to be paid by direct debit on 12 July, but was only called for today, so it looks like we might be getting a few extra days free interest - Good.
I rang CS on the geographical number given on the reverse of the statement as "callers from abroad". It was answered by a lady who said "lost and stolen", and who explained that the number did come through to CS, but was given priority - also good.
I then asked if the statement date could be altered to allow for a payment date more closely aligned to my salary date at the end of each month. A very definite NO, as "the statement date is the same for everyone", i.e. 17th of month - not so good.
As for online access, she thought that it was already available, though was hazy about how to get it, and then said something about ASDA cards. It's been mentioned before that GE administer the ASDA accounts, but there's no application for online access that I can see on the GE website.
So all in all, a bit of a curate's egg; but hey, think of the 3% - it makes you feel a whole lot better...0 -

exactly. maybe it has something to do with this though....thefirs wrote:It's been mentioned before that GE administer the ASDA accounts....
Would GE be so sly that they would purposely stop their cards being used at fastlane pumps to save them the 3% on most people's fuel purchases??0 -
Hmmm, finally got round to giving them a call to find out why they'd not taken DD payment for the full amount on 12th July, to be told that the person that set up the DD had not done it properly. Not a very encouraging start, but at least the person I spoke to was able to sort it out very efficiently - at least I hope they've sorted it out!Stompa0

Got this back from GE today. Looks like it's in the pipeline at least...Thank you for your recent email.
I apologise for the delay in getting back to you.
We do not offer an on line facility at this moment to view your account on line but we do hope to have this service available to you by October this year.
I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Best regards
