NualaBuala, provided this very early in the thread.NualaBuala wrote: »If you have UTV (free on Freesat) it's shown later on at 22:35. Or if you're a night owl it's on ITV in the small hours of Saturday at 02:55am. It would give you extra time toget the dvd recorder working!0 -
I think I spotted Penelope Penguin, but I was so busy trying to decide if it was her or not, I completely missed what her OS tip was
Sorry Penny, if that was you in the kitchen! I'd have liked a bit more time with each person, as it were. But I do agree about the bathwater - I can't imagine it warming my house! I liked Barbara though.
I'm making a wild guess:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Barbabra was lovelty too, and I used to cut the feet off DD's babygrows 20 years ago:eek::eek:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Very well thanks snowy, have been busy ebaying and turning stuff that didn't fit into cash to use if i need it. It has been very challenging at times but i think i am learning from it:o Just wish i could cut my darned food bill.........

They made us put the lights on to make sure there was enough light in the room for the camera, rather than standing with a big black hole behind me.
The little boy looked seriously cute - am now bursting with maternal pride, in the words of the production company that made some comedy show I liked "I made this". Will keep the tape and torture him on his 18th birthday.
Am moderately concerned that no-one else is fessing up to being on - I'm clearly the only show-off. Who was the road kill man? I'll go pick blackberries but I draw the line at roadkill. And water butt lady - whodat?Well behaved women rarely make history.0 -
I thought is was a good introduction to old styling - not everyone is aware of what they actually spend. £250 a week :eek:
Maybe they will seek out this board to learn more. I hope so because it really is the friendliest on the site.

... even if I couldn't see myself eating something someone had driven over......
I could do that, although I haven't actually done it. I did once gratefully accept a fully feathered and intact but recently deceased chicken from a neighbour across the road. They had shot it, but couldn't bear to eat it so wondered if I would.
I said thanks! Plucked it, gutted it and cooked it and made it last for five meals.
The only reason I don't pick up road kill is partly because of law and partly because of hygiene. The law, as I understand it, says, that if Driver 1 knocks over some sort of game animal or bird, if they pick it up and take it away, it could be construed as poaching. But, if someone follows on almost immediately and picks it up, there's no criminal charge....
I've never been fortunate enough to be following Driver 1 close enough to know when they knocked the potential food source down.

OK I confess, the very old looking pinny wearing NannaC was the wheeliebin/rain but lady. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the embarasment. I told the nice young producer that I perhaps might on a good day have the voice for telly but I definately have the FACE for RADIO. In my defence what you could not see was my youngest DS stood behind the camerman pulling faces at me [and him only 33 years old bless grrr]. And yes we have used the rain water to wash hair, we sometimes have the water cut off in our village, so needs must. Grumpy Grandad was on at the begining but I missed him due to hiding under the stairs.:o:o:o:o:o:rolleyes:
