Fraid it wasn't a pilot folks - it was just a one off - though if it rates you never know we may find a new angle (downshift challenge always rates and so we've done four versions).

Glad you liked it - i thought it a fun watch and not too heavy for a friday night....

it was good but maybe it shouldn't be so fast cutting from scene to scene and tip to tip?

I thought it was good to, and would like to see more. But I also wondered if it went too fast for non MSE folk. I think someone who was not into money saving may have struggled to take in everything.

I thought it was jolly good and it's always reassuring to see other old stylers in action although a bit weird seeing others doing the same as I do all. All my friends and family think I'm a bit mad so I tend to keep quiet:rotfl::rotfl:

It is the food spend that is shocking. Many families just don't understand how much they are overspending/wasting.

Perhaps a downshift on wasting energy on cooking, ie Oven on for 3 hours when the casserole could be done in a slow cooker.

Helen he's adorable, I always had to remove the feet with my sons because they were so leggy. I agree that the bath water idea might not be cost effective with the steam damage....why noone mentioned hanging creased items in the bathroom to help reduce ironing.

Well done Martin and the OSers, really enjoyed it even if I couldn't see myself eating something someone had driven over......
One day I might be more organised...........
