um yes :o, my kids havent even heard of them! but maybe they will have by Christmas!

Mine haven't either but I know my son will love it so much. My daughter probably won't be that interested but she'll have to have one too
  • The problem now is that it is not just resellers like those who bought thousands of wii's a few years back and sold high on ebay. Obviously most families couldnt afford to buy in bulk. The problem with the go go go is that its a fairly attractive reasonably priced toy.

Its a vicious circle. Parents buy extra to sell on to get more money for more presents at xmas. Maybe they can't afford much otherwise.

I live in a fairly low income area (especially in the recession) and every year at xmas we always list loads of books/cd's/dvd's/last years toys etc etc on ebay to raise more funds.

Admittedly this is what I believe ebay should be for, but we are now in a situation where evryone is listing hard to find newly imported stock.

Its not just the resellers but the common man/woman.

Unfortunately i don't know if there is a solution to the problem.

    How sweet the little hamsters
    Their little button nose
    Their little furry bodies
    And dinky little toes

    How kind the desperate parents
    Wanting for their kids
    Jacking up the prices
As they make their ebay bids

    How serious we all are
    In searching for the kit
But do you think we've lost the plot
    A tiny little bit?

    Our orders they get cancelled
    Every blimmin day
    The F5 fingers painful
    But still we search away

I think we all need treatment
Or at least a glass of wine
Come Xmas no matter what we've got
I'm sure it'll all be fine

    Night Night all
    xxxx

    fantastic - the best yet!!!

The one on the retail park at Thurrock Lakeside.
I should add really - re: Asda....I had telephoned before I went into the store to ask if they had any stuff and was told there wasn't anything, and they weren't expecting a delivery. I wasn't going to go to Lakeside tonight, but my plans changed, so I ended up popping in there...I was so surprised to see hamsters! Nothing else mind you, but it just goes to show you can't even believe the sales assistants when you phone either! xx

i know exactly what you mean we have a large sainsburys near us and i have been ringing every morning and they told me everytime that they dont have them and have never had them in stock i went in their today and asked a lady with one of them scanner things she scanned the bar code lables for gogos on the shelve and said oh yes they are coming in 2morrow and be on the shelves sat morning grrrrr y didnt they tell me that on the phone ,so i def recomend even if they say no they have none to pop down and take a look anyways
  • my step son is 13 and obviously knows the truth he now helps us do the father christmas thing on christmas eve.my other step daughter maya who is 13 still wants to beleive but her mates have all told her that he doesnt exist (i think mainly because she is afraid not to beleive just in case she doesnt get any prezzies) im a male of 30 and i still belive in father christmas i tell the kids i have direct contact with santa and my middle name is christmas no matter what they think lol. i love christmas and i now have a little daughter so im going to take great delight in creating the magic of christmas for her its her second christmas this year so shes just getting the idea about what it involves last year she didnt have a clue and was totaly overwhelmed by it all.

everytime she sees a image of father christmas she runs up kisses the picture and shouts in a high shill kissmas kissmas :j

  • Just wondering if those of you who are desperate for hamster items have tried gumtree.com. This is a site for private sellers to advertise for free (similar to ebay prices from what I can see at a glance) but you can contact them to try to negociate a price, you don't pay until you collect the goods locally, but you have to come face to face with the people who are trying to make money from you! I have only used the site once when I got some Sylvanian stuff recently for my daughter & it worked very well for me. I know it's not ideal, but I have read a few posts this evening about people 'giving in' to ebay and thought it might help someone, and before anyone accuses me of trying to sell something on there I'm not, I have everything I need now (except blankets/carriers & maybe the other 2 hamsters??) & wouldn't sell it for all the tea in China. Just posting because I really appreciate all the help & advice given here & it's nice to be nice. Hope it helps someone.
  • Lol at the ebay descriptions. theres a num nums for sale - says in description one of the last few. (Apart from the other 400 on there i guess!!)
