  • Right going to bed - think I might have a nosey up to TRU and John Lewis tomorrow if only to get away from this blinking laptop! To think I was the one who never wanted a computer in the house, no-one else is allowed on it these days!

  • And this is why despite my having got my hamsters I want to help others find stock before the resellers.

Regardless of the religious aspect of what the true meaning of Christmas is all about, for parents it is all about our most precious gifts, our darling children.

If I can get anything at all and pass it on to another parent at cost then I personally will have a warm glow this christmas. All the greed on ebay is most unsavoury in my book.

    :A
    Thanks funny.onion:T

if you dont mind me asking which toys r us was this?
The one on the retail park at Thurrock Lakeside.
I should add really - re: Asda....I had telephoned before I went into the store to ask if they had any stuff and was told there wasn't anything, and they weren't expecting a delivery. I wasn't going to go to Lakeside tonight, but my plans changed, so I ended up popping in there...I was so surprised to see hamsters! Nothing else mind you, but it just goes to show you can't even believe the sales assistants when you phone either! xx
  • Just want to say a quick thank you to funny onion. I am now a member of the ebay group.

I got the hamsters about a month ago & picked up the last carriers & beds last week in TRU.

Havent had the internet for about 5 wks so didnt know what a hard time everyone was having until a few days ago when I came across the threads.

    That would be great thanks.

Not looking forward to going out tomorrow as not at all well at the moment but gonna have to try else I will feel so guilty. If I can get anything I've already got will get it for peeps on here who havent been so lucky

  • my step son is 13 and obviously knows the truth he now helps us do the father christmas thing on christmas eve.my other step daughter maya who is 13 still wants to beleive but her mates have all told her that he doesnt exist (i think mainly because she is afraid not to beleive just in case she doesnt get any prezzies) im a male of 30 and i still belive in father christmas i tell the kids i have direct contact with santa and my middle name is christmas no matter what they think lol. i love christmas and i now have a little daughter so im going to take great delight in creating the magic of christmas for her its her second christmas this year so shes just getting the idea about what it involves last year she didnt have a clue and was totaly overwhelmed by it all.

everytime she sees a image of father christmas she runs up kisses the picture and shouts in a high shill kissmas kissmas :j
