Is anyone else thinking that they actually want these hamsters more than their children do?
  • ponymad, I really think you should submit your poem to the Daily Mail as they would publish it.

Personally I just think its another example of bulk buyers making it hard for genuine parents to get what they need. If you have 2 or 3 kids and struggle to get one hamster with £3 p&p you have to go through it all again...twice! £9 p&p for 3 hammies is no different to paying higher prices but being allowed to buy 3.

I didn't buy one anyway, but I just feel for people who do genuinely need more than one.

I agree, a max order of 3 or 4 would be enough to put a spanner in the works of sellers-on and not be a hindrance to parents.

Exactly what I said today in our toymaster shop about their limit. They said 2 each but when my husband and I asked for 2 each we were told no. We are grandparents and also have a special needs foster daughter. How can we buy one without the other when they all want a hamster??

Definitely - mine haven't even heard of them. But they're getting them no matter what!

Ahh, just dress him up as pudsey bear - it'll be fine ;)

When my son had chicken pox for the first two days he was fine in himself but just had the itchy scabs. Two days later he became very poorly and was laid low for a time. I phoned the doctor's and asked if it was ok for him to go out in the pushchair (he was too weak to walk) and as I lived near the sea at the time I was a great believer in fresh air being good for all ailments.

Doctor told me that yes he could go out but to avoid contact with elderly people, babies and anyone that may have health problems that would make them vunerable.

Obviously if he is poorly and fretful it wouldn't be kind to drag him around the shops!

My son was eventually covered head to foot but when my daughter came down with it later on she was hardly affected.

Adding bicarbonate of soda to bath water at bedtime takes away a lot of the itchyness.

Hope he feels better soon and makes a good recovery. xxx
Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.
