I had 2 black bin bags full of presents in the lounge waiting to be put in the attic oops I mean to send to Father Christmas - one each for my children and my daughter said "is that it?". They have a DSi each, the hamsters and all the trimmings between them, CDs, books, games, clothes etc as well. Felt like getting Mr Squiggles and shoving it up her **** lol

One of my daughters lives with the EX. She gets spoiled rotten buy her on xmas day to be fair.
I then have her every boxing day and she opens up her presents and puts on such a great act of how thrilled she, as to not upset me. Bless her!
The ex never tells me what they getting her so i know that she opens the same things 2 days in a row. Must be like groundhog day for the poor kid!"Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates man from the animals ...well except the weasel." - Homer J Simpson

Just thought I would repeat that it is worth checking with your local Sainsbury's today as my store had a delivery yesterday and I haven't seen them in there for the past 5 weeks. There were 2 when I went on shift (Pipsqueak and Chunk) and 1 when I clocked off (Num Nums) so they must have had some more during the day. Remember if you are ringing to enquire about stock they are listed on the tickets as Hamster Packs not Go Go Hamster so say Hamster Pack as that is what will be on the system.0

I got my boys a bike each from the bootsale in the summer ready for xmas.
They are going to have the hamsters, etc & hopefully a house (if i ca actually get one) then stuff for their stockings.
Hubbie got made redundant in July so things are a little tight.
Havent got a clue what to buy the 12yr old though!!! She isnt into anything & everything I suggest she says I dont like that anymore!
She asked me why dont I get her the sort of things I was getting for xmas at her age!!!! She wasnt amused however when I told her I got some guns n roses picture discs & for my birthday I got tickets to see David Lee Roth (the singer from van halen). She is now in a strop as she doesnt ever want anything like that & why dont I know what to get her!!!!0 -

I was telling my 5 and 4 year olds earlier that there are lots of children who don't get nice things like they do (was explaining to them about Children in Need as they have to go to school in normal clothes tomorrow with a spots and stripes theme). I told them that lots of children don't have enough food and stuff so I will let them watch some of Children in Need tomorrow so they can as they don't look after what they have, I bought them two Baby Annabell dolls for Xmas last year and my 4 year old scribbled on the face of one with biro and the other doll has some on her face but not sure which of them did that. I am glad that I got a special deal on them the year before when Boots had them for £9.99 each but I would rather have sold them on Ebay than have them ruin them like that.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
One year when the children were small I made sure that the children only watched bbc 1 and 2 so that they weren't bombarded by all the adverts on the other channels.
I can remember my son looking at the argos catalogue and he was ticking off all what he would like to have. He was only little but had ticked about ten grands worth of toys!Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -
God my daughter would definitely not be amused if I got her what I had when I was 12 - I keep telling her I got an encyclopedia and an electronic game and that was it. I also have to buy them equal numbers of presents as she counts them. She is 11 my son is 6 and he said "as long as I have a whiteboard I will be happy" bless him.0

Times have changed. When I was a kid we were lucky if we got a satsuma and a clip round the ear at christmas!
Seriously though, back then we got one main present and a stocking. I don't remember getting all the stuff that children (including my own) get.Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0
