  • 270485254149 again for a real hamster but makes a good little extra pressie if you have not got the real mccoy!
Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.
  • I have only just discovered this thread in the last couple of days. Wondered what all the posts were about so had a look. Since then however I thought that those wee hamsters would be a great gift for my two neices who are flying in from New Zealand on 11th Dec. They are small enough to go into their suitcases and at age 5 and 8 am sure they will like them. I currently have Chunk on order with Play.com and am looking hard for another one.
Thank you to everyone posting updates and links to sites which otherwise I would never have found. Wish me luck in my search for one wee hamster and cross fingers that the one from Play even arrives...........currently showing Stock Awaited.
Ooooooooooooh the nerves, the tension, the fun!!!!!!!!! Takes me back to when my boys were wee and the in thing was Woody and Buzz Lightyear (my boys are now 19 and 15)
The victims we know so well
    They shine in your eyes
    When they kiss and tell
    Strange places we never see
    But you're always there
Like a ghost in my dream

saw this the other day on the pets at home website as well.
  • Do people think the stocks of these will pick up after Christmas? Just I'm still missing a few items and I'm tempted to save the go go toys for my ds's birthday in April when I can hopefully get the rest.

    What do people think?

Things havent changed that much - my little boy wants a woody - he already has a Buzz.
  • carolannjo, I have a better idea! Maybe the hamsters are more readily available in NZ or they could pick us up a batch if they stop over in Singapore!

Seriously, hope they have a safe trip over here and you manage to get another hamster.

Hi and Welcome, always nice to have new posters and hearing how their hunting for hamsters is going.

Do you have a Wilkinson near you, think they are getting stock in this week.

    Good luck with your searching.

Nooooo....;) not a good idea to open anymore hammy threads, its not fair on other mse members to have to keep seeing hammie threads on every subsection, its a bit like ugg boots, if there's too many threads we just get comments from other members along the lines of how many ugg threads do we need. Everyone will chat regardless of if its a stock available thread, by keeping it all in one thread its a lot easier to keep an eye on the latest stock, today will be mainly chat as there are no forecasts on stock being added. It would be awful if a parent was on the wrong hammy thread and missed the chance to buy when they come into stock because they were in the wrong place.

It's not the 'chat' that I think is wrong -it's the 'digs' at people who are reading the forum but not posting comments/stock etc. Leave them alone - they can't all be greedy ebayers - most of them will just be parents hoping to make their kids christmas special. A clever ebayer would be watching stock everywhere - not just on here, or they could be posting regularly on here as a 'mum/dad' and none of us would know the difference anyway - some of us could be pm stock updates and putting the little hammies straight into their hands!!!!
I think a max of 2 items per customer policy in all stores stocking them would be the best policy - with an exception for larger families who have more than two children - perhaps they could produce a child benefit letter as proof!!
Anyway good luck everyone- so far I have one garage and one hamster... looking for one more hamster and hopefully a house.. this was going to be a birthday present for DD for next week but I'm going to keep it for Christmas to see if I can get a few more items to make a set up... I have another DD who doesn't want a hamster but will want to play with one when she sees her sisters!!!

    Quite keen moneysaver......

Just been to my local Asda and brought 4 hamsters one of each 2 for me and 2 for a friend. They had just been delivered £9.97 each, 6 delivered the other two had green pen on them so I pointed them out to he assistant as being faulty. They had nothing else delivered!

Stockchecker picked up stock at Yorkshire Toys (hamsters).

However, you may have difficulty getting on their site ... others must have spotted it too and their site is creaking
