We believe we have got to the bottom of what has happened and sorted the issue. This issue would have only effected those using the link on this forum during Friday night.

Should links be used not just from our site but others, the details in the link can cause the problem.

This link http://www.cmgiftsandcollectables.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=143_146 will be safe, however the link which was originally posted contained extra information about the users session on the website and therefore this issue.

It may well have been a similar issue with the character website, whereby the link used contained session information allowing access to details inadvertently.

Please advise any members on the forums to be very careful when posting links from any website. Make sure the links they post link to the product / page without the id of there session info in the link.

Just so you are aware, no stock is due before Wednesday. Our courier always deliveries to us last on the route so NOTHING will be for sale before 6pm. Wednesday will just be Hamsters, other items will be Thursday and Friday. But I do not know which on which day!

I do know that what I ordered is reduced in volume so I guess 10 - 15 minutes of Madness!!

But nothing until 6pm Wednesday. (I have the toy rep with me Wednesday from that company so nothing will be posted until he's gone)

Yes Character are trying to get 2 plane fulls I think if, like you say, they can make it fast enough. Perhaps a few of us should go over and help make hamsters lol

I've just come back from my local Tescos' - they had one of each hamster on the shelf for 9.97 each - I was tempted but i have 2 Num Nums and 2 is really enough for my boys!! So reluctantly i left them there!!!! No play sets tho.

Ha, ha, what are you all like, I e mailed Michael back to thank him for the information and to advise him to check what I had posted in case there was anything I'd edited wrongly. He just e mailed back to say he'd guessed I'd posted because 30+ accounts were opened almost immediately and they are inceasing every few seconds!!! So in light of these numbers, and the number of people that actually contribute to this forum, my question would be why aren't all those other people making an effort to post stock updates. If you are lurking and have never contributed, shame on you!!!

The problem with air freight is also the cost, a company have to pay more for air but they can't knock their rrp prices up to cover this cost. I know the info lizdav has posted is correct as one of my family members supplies their company stock in the same way, but when push comes to shove those factories in china will be working their socks off to supply in time but it depends on how many units character are willing to pay extra on to ship as it will affect their profit.

Nintendo shipped deliveries of wii by air but it still wasn't enough to meet demand, I think seeing as most homes generally have one wii but our homes seem to have a whole army of hamsters we can realistically assume that with the info we have been given from character this madness will continue right through till the new year

I momentarily panicked when I read this and thought 'I must open an account!' but then realised I don't need to buy anything. Well only the ball and I'm hoping to get that from Character. Oh and of course I don't actually NEED the ball, I just want it, or rather my 4 yr old DD does. It's a Hamster Holiday ball apparently, or that's what's on her letter to Santa so I hope he gets the right one.
