I agree Maximouse i paid £21.99 for pipsqueak i bought it , i didnt have to but it was my choice.
The sellers are out to make money ~ if you cant find in the shops you are going to buy off ebay to avoid any dissapointment!!
It is the buyers choice.!
I found that ths sellers Hamsters were the cheapest buy it now on ebay
I have calculated what the sellers costs are
£9.99 Hamster
0.40 BIN listing fee
£2.20 Final Val fee
£0.97 Paypal
£2.50 Postage to send to you
This leaves them with £4.20 to cover petrol and time and profit. I can't say I'd bother for that.AKA: PC

Buyer pays postage not seller, unless of course you offer free posting0 -
Right happy Hamster hunting I'm off to search for the 3 items I have left to get for my kids then that's me done. Trouble is I always finish my shopping early then I'm bored and end up buying them even more lol.0

I used to have an Ebay business selling character Clothing but have stopped now due to the fees on Ebay and wasn't making much money as everyone was selling the same stuff, got really disheartened with it.
I just list my personal items now, the kids old clothes and toys and bits and pieces that I've accumulated over the years and no longer want.
No one forces people to pay extortionate prices for things on Ebay so it's up to the individual if they want to pay well over the odds for stuff, all Businesses are here to make money so why should Ebay be any different really, if I don't like the prices in a store or website then I don't buy it.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

Rough and ready calculation, I make the RRP about £120 as well (can't remember which of the play sets are £10 and which are £15, but about that).
So only 3 times the price, plus a bit extra for good luck!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
enjoying the chat on here ref our lttle hamster friends. Its all about supply v demand - remember the Wii last year and the year before. All the hype and no stock. If all the ebay stock was put into retail stores it would still not be enough. Let the people sell on ebay - supply v demand and if people pay good luck to them. People tend to forget "Tesco profits top £3bn" yeah they give the stuff away or maybe they screw their suppliers.
Happy Christmas and why not spend less time on here and spend it with the family and your new pet of course:rotfl:0 -
Now then, lets get away from ebay and back to finding Go Go hamster stock before its go, go, gone. I have some VERY good news - just editing in a word document before I post here, so start getting excited...:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0

Yes most of the ones I have seen are private, I can see something happening on ebay now though, there are soooo many go go items that they actually aren't rare! They are hard to find in the shops but on ebay you have the opportunity to bid every minute if you get outbid you try again, this is hitting the prices now, I just saw a bed sell for £10.49 with £1.50 p&p this isnt going to leave the seller with much profit accounting for fees and time taken to list, pack and post. All the hamsters ending in the next hour are around £18.
If character bite the bullet and pay for air freight then stores could be flooded with stock by december...this would make them harder to sell on ebay even at rrp if people don't want to pay p&p costs. There might be a few greedy people eating humble pie for xmas dinner!
As far as I can gather from reading posts by Lizdav, Character are indeed air freight in stock but the trouble is getting the stuff manufactured in time which takes 4-6 weeks from them placing their order with the factories. No doubt at all there will be stacks of stuff available in January at RRP and lots of new goodies coming Feb/march - look at the toy wiz site in the U.S. which has pictures of the new hammies, clothes etc.0 -
Here Here Tamlem I agree completley with everything you have just said. They are greedy people buying up stock knowing that children want them, therefore leaving parents unable to obtain them at retail prices. I know I know it is there choice to buy but some parents just can't say no or can't see there childrens disappointed faces on christmas day. I for one am not giving in to ebay sellers, in fact we should all boy cott them and leave them with the stock!! Who wants to join my group on face book lol!:rotfl:Don't buy, Don't buy.0
