Okay granted need is not the appropriate term but in my case my sister can't have a real hamster she would kill it (not deliberately but she would prob squash the poor wee thing) the silly hamsters that go in a ball run away from her (she can't walk) so very frustrating for her that's why i desperately "want " to get her these hamsters it will probably be the closest thing to a pet she could ever have so if i can get the funds i will be one of the suckers paying 4 x rrp for the parts i want:xmastree: :snow_grin Santa's Little Helper :snow_grin :xmastree:0

hope your kids enjoy biscuit - bought it for my dd last xmas and she
played with it about 4 times despite it being the xmas present she
had to have!
Sums Christmas all up really doesn't it. Too many toys. Too much money spent. Debt's for months to come - years in some cases. Whatever happened to the mince pie and a glass of scotch. Whatever happened to a pillow case of toys and tangerines!! 'If it don't fit in your case, Father Christmas can't deliver!!'
Bring back the good old days!!!
StebizAsk me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

To be honest the whole idea of being a Business is to make money so you can't really blame people for selling for a profit but there is a line between making a bit of profit and charging extortionate prices.
Maximouse - any replies back from that site yet about what happened? Seems a shame that lots of people don't know they are listing stock next week and hope it will be sorted by next week so people can know they will be listing some stuff.
No nothing back yet. I'll post the name of the website (not the link - can't go through that worry again) on Wednesday as they said they weren't listing before 6 on that day, if I haven't heard anything by then, then its up to people whether they feel they want to use the site or not.:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
Hi skinnyribs, I love that idea!
As of last night I had an email from mailorderexpress for four hamsters (one of each) at £14.99 each, free postage and some free plastic jungle animals. I was concerned that the order wasn't going to be honoured as the price shot up after I had placed my order, but this morning I now have this email so I am now feeling pleased that at least they have accepted the price I bought them at.
Total : £59.96
The above order placed on www.mailorderexpress.com is currently being processed our system.
We will send you another email once your order has been despatched.
If there are any problems with your order we will inform you by email in due course.

Of course that's the same day as character-online might list (unless they list early) - so its gonna by a busy day for all still looking for items.:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
I can't believe how many there still are appearing on ebay!
I wonder if the criminal fraternity have planned a raid on one of the big sorting offices with a plan to steal oblong shaped parcels?! There must be loads of the hamsters sitting in the sorting office overnight!
If I get mine at £14.99 then I don't feel so bad about paying £20.00 over the rrp for the four when I take into account petrol, parking, time spent looking and the general stress of tracking them down.
What is the most anyone here has paid for a hamster? They were going for up to £40.00 recently but I see from completed sales on ebay that the average price seems around £20 with many at £24.99 going unsold.Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.0 -
Just logged on to see how the hamster hunting's going and I see it's been a rather turbulent couple of days!
I went on a birthday shopping trip to Bluewater yesterday and checked John Lewis, Boots etc... but not a whisker
I'm still waiting on a call from my local Wilko to say that the Chunk I ordered last Saturday is ready for collection - he is still showing as despatched but still not arrived
Crossing my fingers as looks like my nephew won't hav a hamster if he doesn't arrive as not paying silly prices!0
