  • Wilkinsons, Amazon, Play, Asda Will Be Getting Direct Orders Of Around 45 Per Store On Monday 16th November 2009

Friend at Asda Entertainment Desk has just text me =)

I've found Wilkinson quite good, they had about 9 there the other day when I went in and 3 yesterday (no Mr Squiggles but did have the other 3), definitely worth checking mid week rather than at weekends as everyone will be out looking for them at weekends and if they are in stock anywhere they are bound to sell early in the day.

I completely agree what ppl are asking for these items is ridiculous i do feel guilty when ppl buy a hamster from me , i start a auction @ 99p but have also put the BIN price there so it won't go above £25 i have 5 hamsters which would give me £50 profit so with the £50 i can afford and the profit from the hammies i can get 3 items from ebay that i desperately need, i have had to pay £60 for a house and skateboard ramp and the other item i need is the wheel and tunnel which i haven't seen cheaper than £40, I also got stung on ebay about 2 year ago for the Baby born car i had to pay £60 for it when it was orig £30

i am not going to certainly hate you, but i think (well in my opinion) what annoys most about ebay is that they take everything from the shelves and leave nothing for others, i wil be honest and i have a num nums with bed blanket on ebay (the only extra i have) i offered it over on hotukdeals for a trade but had no replies so decided to put her on ebay towards a wheel. its the only one i have and started it at £1.99 so i guess people will pay what they want to.

its just shocking though what some people want for these items.

So did you manage to get your elusive wheel yet?

  • I think there is some serious confusion here about "want" and "need". None of us, nor our children, "needs" any hamster or hamster-related stuff. They may want it, fair enough. But they don't need it, like they need food, clothes, a roof over their heads, health care, etc.

That's why I don't have a problem with the ebay / amazon stuff. I think people are mad to be paying 4 x RRP, personally, but their choice, they don't have to spend it. I will just marvel from a distance (-:

  • I think I would be too embarrassed to load my basket/trolley up with lots of the same items. To be honest the whole idea of being a Business is to make money so you can't really blame people for selling for a profit but there is a line between making a bit of profit and charging extortionate prices.

Maximouse - any replies back from that site yet about what happened? Seems a shame that lots of people don't know they are listing stock next week and hope it will be sorted by next week so people can know they will be listing some stuff.

I was thinking that the other day, I've got the ball, slide and wheel but I don't want to part with mine now I have them, I'm looking forward to playing with it all myself on Xmas day, never mind the kids.

OH can cook the Xmas dinner while I play with Hamsters and the Fur Real Biscuit I bought the other day for £94 which arrived at 6.30pm with his picture on 4 sides of the box while the kids were staring out the window, don't think they saw what it was though as it was dark and I had to hide it in the porch and cover it with our coats.

hope your kids enjoy biscuit - bought it for my dd last xmas and she
played with it about 4 times despite it being the xmas present she
    had to have!
  • our daughter had a fur real pet about 2 years ago it was a sheep dog puppy i think called pip she played with it about 5 times then it started to not do what it was supposed to then it broke silly ruddy thing

Nevermind the kids, I really bought it for me, if they get fed up with it then I'll be giving it lots of cuddles.
