We are preparing these items for dispatch and this part of your order cannot be cancelled or changed. Need information on returning an item?

So fingers crossed that I will get them soon.

Character's online sales through their own website are only a small part of their business ... their business wholesaling to Amazon and the like is Much bigger.

Why wouldn't you think Amazon have stock and would 'sell as bait'? Big brands need to preserve their reputation and I don't think that Amazon would sell stock that they really don't have.

I would hazard a guess that Amazon's stock was probably more than Character's own.

I've enjoyed your updates, but that one's maybe just a little too OTT.

It is not 'when' they cancel ... makes it look like no one will get one ... but it could be an 'if they cancel' if things went so fast that they oversold.

One thing I am sure of is that Amazon did have stock at that price and you can forget the idea of baiting without stock. IMO Amazon would not do that.

I wasn't talking about Amazon as a seller, I was talking about the 3rd party companies that sell on Amazon and they do sometimes list things to get you onto their listings then its out of stock so you end up buying the higher priced items. Also, when there is only a small number showing in stock, and more hamsters are reported to have been bought this morning than was stock available, then its only fair to advise people not to get too excited until they actually have the hamster in their hands. Good for anyone that does get a hamster at the price, but I would just advise caution and keep looking around until as I say, that little squeaking rodent is knocking on your front door

Argos in Cleveleys have 4 car & garages available to reserve& pick up, still there at 09.36 am
Just reserved one for my G DD & will pick it up later.

why have argos only got the car? why did they not have the whole range, might of had a slim chance of getting something from there if they had.

Still doesn't answer the question though if amazon had no stock last time and cancelled the orders, now they have or so they say and have let a load more orders go through, then what happens to the first lot in line, do they just not get them and the next lot do? If they had none then how come they have now?

That is extremely weird ... I haven't been able to understand it either.

Wholesale orders for add-ons are supplied in unit packs containing all three add-ons

Same for the playsets .. and possibly the hamsters are alo packaged as 4s.

It does pose the question as to where the slides and wheels are that came out of Argos's pack units

Maybe they have still to come out or maybe they traded them on to someone else that has already sold them

Im Guessing that the stock control is way out if lots of people try to buy at once and they cancel the over sales from that batch -seems logical -but they should keep people on back order to be fair.
