I have just ordered a chunk from play.com. My account says awaiting stock, so they haven't got any. So annoying why say they have when they obviously haven't.

They don't take payment until despatch

simba, play.com don't take your money until item is ready to be despatched.

I do think it strnage that they tell me yesterday at tea time that they have none in stock yet this morning put chunk on their site before ten!

I repeat .. if people order, but then can't pay at despatch, then that stock will be released.

Funds are tested as available when ordering, but are reserved for a few days only. By now the cards could be maxxed and the stock becomes available for someone else.

Not strange at all really ... and if prople were ordering 10 at a time (and they have), then that could mean a fair few being added back.

So maybe worth watching Woolies on 14-15 December if still desperate.
