Then there's the hassle of buying them in the first place, going to the PO and all the rest of it. I certainly couldn't be arsed with it.The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

All I am going to say is.....more fool you.
Back-of-a-fag packet calculations lead me to suspect you'd earn ITRO £5 to £10 an hour. And you'd need to register as a business, pay self-assessment tax, etc.
I don't know about you, but my working time is not worth £5 to £10 an hour. If yours is, well, go for it (with the associated risk and degree of exploitation, of course). But don't think I'm a fool because my earning capacity is > £10 an hour....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Toys R Us seem to be getting a small stock of hammies most days so turn up on opening and you should be in luck.
Each to their own. I have bought both from TRU on foot and catalogue companies and Wilkinson online at RRP, and at Ebay at almost double to get 2 items my daughter really wanted. She just wont get so many items, but they are what she really wanted. I have no feelings either way re ebay. I have sold in the past, both at a loss and fantastically well (who would have thought a 1960's motorcycle jacket would be so sought after). Its the chance you take. I havent sold for a year since the feedback rules changed, but I buy, probably too much. Ebay is a good thing, I always say if you want it, you can get it on ebay. Its up to the individual how much they pay, set a max amount, dont go above, keep looking, and if its not enough to secure the item, think of something else to get and wait til January. When I read what some people have bought their kids, not just hammy related but in general, its obsene to be honest. Kids dont NEED all of it, get inventive, trawl the car boots and charity shops for alternative hammy houses and beds, a girls hair scrunchie makes a lovely hammy dress, you dont NEED to buy it at £5 on ebay, but well done the ebayer who thought of it! There should not be a battle between seller and buyer, we both need each other at the end of the day. You can choose what and how you sell, as well as what and if you buy.
By the way, just did an online search, wilkinson are showing at minus figures, everywhere else out of stock, play and amazon the enevitable hiked prices and argos is closed for maintenance.
Happy Hammy Hunting and remember tis the season of good will....play nice in the forumI think I am going slightly mad.....0 -
