[/I]So £50 what did that go on then?
And that actually made me feel a lot better![/QUOTE]
Long story short here :-
Went to visit a friend of mine who has a Makro cash & carry trade card, and we had a ride up to our local branch as he needed a few things for the business he runs.
For those of you who dont know Makro the bulk of the stuff aint cheap up there, but they do have the odd bargain, manufacturers end of line and occasional loss leaders to get you into the store.
So while he went to get the trolley I had a wander around the clothing section and picked up a very nice black and grey Caterpillar brand bomber jacket for work. Fleece lined, plenty of pockets, nylon rain proof outer, and of course being a short jacket I dont have to keep hitching it up over me bum when I'm jumping in and out of the truck all day !!!!!!
OK I didnt go with intention of purchasing anything, it will replace my current work jacket which is getting a bit tatty, and of course I always have £100 put aside for "impulse" purchases anyway.
Now all I have to do is put the £50 back in my impulse purchase fund before I
spend anything else... (:money: :money: top tip or what ? :money: :money: )0 -
When you said impulse purchase I was thinking new dvd player etc, not a coat for work!
At least you've got a budget for that kind of thing.
I spent another £8 in tesco last night but thats me done for the next week. Although might need a couple of bits to add to the lunchbox, but I'll eat Tesco value!
Instead of making sandwiches each morning I've opted to keeping packets of things in the fridge at work, got a packet of sausage rolls, packet of cheese triangles, some yoghurts. So it's all there and I'm not going to starve!
Am off out into town today to see if I can find an exntesion reel for phone line as need to move my computer from living room into my bedroom as its currently sitting in our doorway to our living room.Hopefully that wont cost me any more than £5.
Then I'll be back home to do plenty of housework, hoping to tire myself out as still not sleeping very well!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
And again horrid night's sleep. Dont actually feel like I'm actually sleeping, just laying there all night!
Didnt help that some idiot called me at 2am! Prank call but still not impressed!
Work was averagely boring but will have to do some actual work tomorrow!
Roll on payday is all I can say!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
First no spend (that I can remember!) for a little while now.
Had a big clear out of old clothes that I'm going to put on ebay, and some shoes too. Plus found under my bed, an old PS1 and about 8 games, that haven't seen the light of day in about 4 years!
Wonder if I could sell that on..................?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

I'm not a fan lol
Hence why it's been under the bed for a few years.
Worth trying to flog on ebay then? woohoo bit more money to the copycat challenge!
One ebay items finishing today, netting me £22! All for a screwed up voucher I've had in my pocket for ages!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Home for a couple of hours from work. forgot to take my pills this morning so feeling a bit rough, but going back in later on!
Got the dreaded payslip today, not as bad as it could have been but still not a pretty sight!
Will have to make sure tight ol' budget for this month. Still debating speaking to the landlord about paying half rent this month and taking the other half from my deposit....
My voucher sold on ebay for £22.71 to thats going toward the copycat challengeFeel a bit better now I've made more progress!

Well made it back to work feeling much better yesterday.
Last night my second ebay item finished, clearing another £14, so thats my ebay total for two items at .......... £38!
Super impressed as thats going against the CopyCat Challenge.
Thinking about putting my other dvd box sets on today as well. Haven't really watched them much, plus they were probably part of the debt anyway!
Have spent today (day off) cleaning up the house, nearly done the kitchen, hoovered the living room, hall and kitchen, gonna mop it in a little while. Changed bed linen, febreezed (home made frebreeze too!)! Two laods of washing, and had myself some lunch.
As well as paying for my order of stock to sell on ebay! So that should be arriving tuesday, so will spent tuesday evening putting those items up. Possibility of £100 profit there as well so I'm dead chuffed with myself there!
BF is coming down tonight as well. So I'm hoping for a really nice weekend with him, altho I have to work tomorrow! But got sunday and monday with him. Going out for dinner saturday night, hopefully he'll be paying! Plus I'm cooking tonight and he's giving me the money for it
Bless him xx
And other than that I've got to say I'm starting to feel a lot more positive within myself this week, so maybe the herbals are starting to kick in! Who knows, whatever it is, I'm glad, will see if I can now take this further and start getting happyWealth is not measured by currency0 -
OK now so far this weekend, I've spent about £40!
Good god, theres just no telling myself sometimes!
Albeit £20 was on a pair of jeans, didnt need but wanted.
Right tomorrow will send boyf home, earlyish, so I can jump back on the DFW wagon!
