Theres a thread floating around the board called CopyCat Challenge.

Basically theres about 7 of us all in competition against each other to raise £1200, so thats like one complete credit card bill for me. The competition will, in theory, spur us on plus we can steal tips and ideas from one another :)

Oh and one other thing before I forget, I caught up with thread about tax relief for cleaning your works uniform at home, not sure if you wear a uniform at your job, but if you do, you can claim tax back on the cleaning costs
(its a thread under the TAX discussion group)

    Nighty night all ;)

Try stealing from the others in the contest. Double benefits - you've got more money and they've got less ;)

Are we allowed to know the titles of said books?
(Can I take it that it wasnt "a beginners guide to pole dancing" when you mean artistic ?????????

And just to cheer you up a little bit, even me, Mr old planned expenditure, general tight wad made a £50 impulse purchase today.........
Which just goes to prove that it happens to us all :money:

1: The Great Book of Art : Art Deco
2: The Great Book of Art : Art Nouveau

I wanted to try my hand at some drawing and maybe some painting, but as I told the BF earlier, I have all the creativity but just none of the ability!

Using the books as inspiration. Found a fantastic picture of a Art Deco water fountain that I was thinking would make a phenomenal bedroom panel screen. Cheapy MDF needed for that though, and again some ability would help! lol

So £50 what did that go on then? :) And that actually made me feel a lot better!
