Ah ha! Welcome to the dark side my friend.

Cheapo voddie (75cl bottle) mine is tesco own, £3.50 a bottle, couple of measures out *hic* :)

Then crush up half a packet of cherry drop sweets :) eat the other half :)

Vodka dissolves the sweeties and et voila! Flavoured vodka! Is mucho lovely!

Also works well with werthers (toffee flavour), skittles and pineapple cubes :)

    I do not have a drinking problem..............honest ;)

Ok so maybe I was a little "off the mark" with my fave tipple, Newcastle Brown, and yes it is an acquired taste:D

But all joking apart if you need any help, support and advice, in your quest for debt freedom all you have to do is ask :money:

    Rightio everyone!

Due to some stupidness over this weekend, and just not caring what was happening I spent money..........

    a lot.........

    not as in thousands

but still money I havent got...........

My credit card 1 is now up to its limit of £1,500.........

I think I've got about £20 to last until payday.........

I've had a late fee added onto an account, albeit two days late!!!

So now I'm annoyed with myself, and at this rate I'm just going to perpetually be in debt.

So I am getting the scissors, and I am cutting up the credit card so the only thing I can do with it is pay it off!

And I've actually just done it and not sure my hands aren't shaking!

oh dear......... maybe it wasn't such a good idea.......

    PEOPLE!

    I need help!
I need to get my a** in gear and my finances in order!

    HELP!!!

    HELP!!![/QUOTE]

Okies so you sort of slipped, well I'm sure we all did it at some point in our lives ........ No big shakes, dont beat yourself up over it, you';ll only feel alot worse for it and consequently getting out of debt will feel EVEN MORE of a chore...

    My advice :-

1:- Chop up your other credit card, if you havent already done it.
2:- (Just for a few weeks) get an evening job, bar work or something, it;ll get you out of the flat, meet new people and kick start your financial recovery plan.
3:- Work out your "triggers", the emmotions that make you spend
Having a blue day might be one
Do you have any unresolved issues with parents / Siblings etc ???
If you are interested in self help, try to seek out a second hand copy of "Whats wrong with you" -by Benjamin Fry (The co presenter of the tv show Spendaholics), its a good book, I've read it, it helped me alot
    Alternatively
"Your money or your life" :- by the the great Alvin Hall

Once you've indentified your triggers to spending, learn how to avoid them, for instance if your having a down day go for a jog or a swim, anecdotal (sp?) evidence suggest excercise helps mild depression.....

OK so I've prattled on enough for one night .....

    Hope it all helps

    PS One other thing :-

Go to a travel agent, get one of those lovely glossy travel guides they hand out free, take it home, cut out the best picture of NYC and pin it to your bedroom wall. Every morning when you get up, look at that picture and say to yourself " I will get to travel there". It might jog your memory when the urge to emmotionally spend kicks in

Right the second CC is well and truly hidden, bent it anyway so can't swipe, plus I dont know the pin number!

In terms of second job, I'm probably half lazy and then the other half of me thinks, I dont want to stress myself out with another job that might give me as much agro as this one has. But thats probably all just excuses!

I also think there are too many triggers to name! lol
I had "second best" issues with my sister, who I do love, but she's everything I'm not. Plus she's done much more with her life than I have, and I guess I'm a little envious.
I've got low self esteem and a poor self confidence, so every so often I end up wallowing in self pity and then I spend money trying to look better and therefore feel better, doesnt generally work though :(

Have taken the debit card out of my purse now too, so I've got £1.40 in there to last me till the weekend.

Time to get motivated and focus!

Would now be a good time to mention a spend diary? :)

Would it be possible to return some of the stuff you bought?
