    Yeah I guess so,

But then if she don't like me, I might not get put forward for second interview. Am going to tap former colleague who works for that company and get top tips for handling individual as well as interview for company.

:) You're right its better than a slap in the face and it's one step further than I was this time yesterday. I just desperately want to start feeling better, cant be sitting in an interview looking like something the cat has dragged through bushes and dirt, swung around in a mud pit, baked in the sun, p-eed all over and then left for the vermin now can I?!

    Hello,
I've been sort of following your posts for a week or so .....

First off ....:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Secondly if you need any advice for interviews or CV's just pm me .....
My CV writing is currently running at 7/7, 7 CV's done for friends who all got at least as far as the interview (blush)
I also sit on a few panel interviews where I work,so I'm a bit savvy on interview techniques....
(Just DONT ask about physcometric testing, as that baffles me)

Thirdly, and apologies if somebody has already suggested this, but have you been in contact with your local CAB, about getting a debt plan together and also I believe they will (re)negotiate with your creditors on your behalf.
Sorry if has already been mentioned but I'm getting old and forgetful

hey, im still kinda new here and just been popping into your post every other day and know exactly how you feel but I just wish i'd found this site before and all these fab supportive people!

when i went to my doctor with depression I was told to go home and talk to OH and parents (like that was EVER gonna happen as i felt so ashamed). She also refused to help me with medication as i would snap out of it!? that was all in 2000-2003 and i would sit contemplating doing some very silly things but it was only way out when i was so low. everything felt very dark and it was easier to just sleep. I only just scraped through with a BA degree as i never attended classes and left after the 3 years (scottish degrees are 4 years long) as i couldn't cope as i already owed so much money.

eventually i got my self sorted but had a relapse earlier this year when all this money stuff hit me again. I pushed my OH away and actually moved out for 2 weeks. i didn't want anyone to know. Anyway, he knew something serious was up and forced me to write down how i was feeling so he could understand better. he now understands my moods and when i'm low, but i'm getting there. Coicidentally my dad has just been diagnosed with depression and has sufferred for years without anyone realising.

i'm not completely fixed and won't be until the money is paid off, but you have done the right thing by writing it all down - it really helped me focus. if you can take this written to your doctor as it will help them understand and help you. i felt like i was the only one but i didn't realise how wrong i was until i hit rock bottom. look at it this way - the only way is up :-)

    (((hugs)))

Good idea about writing it down. I just feel a massive lump build in my throat every time i try to talk about it and I just can't string the words together.

I'm going to try and ring the doctors tomorrow from work and book an appointment for thursday.

However right now I'm trying really hard not to think about any of it, I think thats whats been making me feel so sick. This whole thing with work will be over by this time tomorrow and I keep saying to myself, no matter what the outcome is, I'll be leaving there as soon as I find another job.

The worst that can happen is a written warning so I'm just expecting that, if they do go for anything more I will be fighting them with every inch of my being! But now must try to get a decent nights sleep and try not to let it bother me too much.

    One step at a time
    1st - Disciplinary at work
    2nd - Doctors
    3rd - Interviews/job applications
4th - Enjoy well earned week off work!

The treatment for depression is patchy. Some doctors are excellent, and listen and actually try to make a proper diagnosis. Other doctors do not listen, and the answer to all your problems - no matter who you are, or what your problems are - will be found in a blister pack marked with days of the week. Others don't listen, and will not give out anything, not even sleeping tablets to help with sleeping.

The cynic in me wonders if that's to do with the state of the Practice's drug budget.

Sometimes, you just have sit there and make the judgement "this doctor is an idiot" then go and get another one. That's get another doctor, not another idiot...

Aw hun - I'm so sorry to hear that you're not feeling too good at the moment. I wish I still lived in Canterbury so I could offer to take you out for a drink and help cheer you up.

As for the OH, he doesn't really need to do anything (although I'm sure its not helped having boyfriend troubles) but he can always give you a hug. Sometimes what you need is to snuggle up on the sofa and fall asleep in his arms. But you might have to ask him since they don't always realise that sometimes they don't need to say anything, you don't need advice, you JUST WANT A HUG!

Chin up hun. As others have said, at least give the doctors a go. Even if all that happens is you unburden to a real person as opposed to us pretend people on here, it's a help.

And very best luck for today hun. We'll all be thinking of you. Mola x
