Right so the new budget for August as it appears!

Expected income = £660 missing one weeks pay due to sickness:confused:

    Rent £275
    Loan £138
    BT £35
    Credit Card 1 £30
    Credit Card 2 £30
    Council Tax £41.50
    Staff Card £9.50
    D.P Card £24.37
    Insurance £19.45
    Electric bill £47
    Totals £649.82:eek:
So thats the minimum repayments on everything covered!
This is under my impression that my company will not pay SSP, i know MCBirne has posted to tell me they have to, but I can see them dragging their feet!

If they do I've worked out I'll get £70 on top of that.
So I'll be trying to keep whatever I've got in the bank right now, there until payday since I think groceries are gonna be a difficult one this month. So store cupboard challenge here I go!

The council tax and electric bill are half payments, obv since flatmate is here. The only other thing I can think of is to send them her payment, with a note to say I will pay the other half next month, hopefully that'd be ok?

Have also got to get gas meter reading to complete my swap over from British Gas, so think I may end up with quite a whopper final bill from them too!

But if not I've got £10 to live on next month! woohoo

Try to pay off your council tax in full. The Gov gives councils incentives to chase up late payers, which include court summons being issued pretty snappily (about a month from due, maybe less if they're efficient). You may also lose the ability to pay by installments. Phone them - find out.

The electricity companies are usually less "efficient" as you can always go elsewhere if they are too "attack dog" like

Knowing BG, you'll have a massive rebate. They seem to think they are a savings bank, so overcharge your DDs. But they are a bank that pays no interest.

You're going to obliterate the grocery challenge. :A

Hey sorry what I meant about them being half payments was thats my share of the total amount, flat mate will be paying the other half!

Sorry wasnt too clear on that one.

Hardly likely to get anything back from British Gas, have only just cleared massive £770 bill a few weeks back!Must ask lovely landlord for access to meter, as its not in our property! Such a pavlova!

Better get to thinking about what I can eat for the foreseeable!!!!!

Sorry, I though when you were saying about "paying the other half next month", that you were just going to pay half of it.

One of these? Is your landlord truly that scrumptious?

lol feeling a bit better today.

Have just seen manager to give her a dvd I bought online for her, so got the £6 back for that too, so thats my coach fare tomorrow covered.

Apparently at her disciplinary she was given a slapped wrist and not much else, told not to do it again. I'm not sure if mine will have turned out the same way, but it gives me a little more space to breathe.

So glad I spoke to her, put my mind to ease about a few things, I still have to face my disciplinary (i think) but it (or the thought of it) doesnt seem to be having the same physical effect on my body that it was. So maybe now I'll feel a touch better for my interview tomorrow :)

Ohh and to add, my manager had given me a little card and some chocs, and shes written "although it all seems hard, you're strong and will get through"
    Nice thought xx
