    Hi Tim,

I don't seem to be getting any response and I see from previous threads you give alot of helpful advice and wondered if you had any comments on my previous post 50.

    Would appreciate it very much.

    Thanks,
    Noodlecat

You would have to give more of an idea about the type of mattress, the firmness, and your budget before I can give any advice.

I can't actually give out and specific recommendations, as it could be viewed as advertising.

Many thanks for that,Tim.You just saved me a fortune! It's back to the drawing board for me-going to try some other mattresses tomorrow-full size pocket sprung with memory foam-any words of wisdom on price range as I am not going to be ripped of if I possibly can???

Well you can get two sided pocket sprung with memory foam (containing full size steel pocket springs) for a similar price to the mattress you were looking at.

I have a 'Miracoils' mattress which we bought from a small retailer. It is honestly the MOST comfortable mattress I have EVER slept on!!

Hi Tim thanks for your response.:)

I have a budget upto £700 at a push £800. I would like a mattress with a luxurious feel by which I mean a medium to firm mattress but with some sort of topping which would give a softness that I would expereince as luxurious. I am open to getting a seperate pocket sprung mattress with an additional topper or a combined mattress and memory/latex foam.

I am also open to getting a memory foam or latex mattress if that would give me a more luxurious feel, however my main aim is to help with my sore back and neck pain.

I'm not sure if this clarifies things??:o

Maybe I need to go and lie on some beds first and see what the different mattresses feel like?

    with thanks,

Comfort isn't the issue (to start with), it's the very poor reliability.

You can actually get a top quality 2 sided pocket sprung and memory foam (or latex foam) mattress with full size steel pocket springs for well under that.

Be careful when you are trying out mattresses that contain latex foam, as many of them only contain a small amount of latex, and this is sometimes only in zones. Make sure it has a full layer of latex 2" deep.
