  • I've said this before on different threads, I have learned to cook from scratch and batchcook. Buy in bulk when items are on offer. Learned what I could freeze so making the most of Whoopsies. Became an A**i and £shop convert. All has meant that all bills are paid and we are well fed whilst OH has been job seeking.
We live within our means and very comfortably thank you very much with our A**i glass of 'can't believe it is less than £4 bottle of tasty red wine'. All thanks to the kind people out there sharing their wisdom.
    Cheers.

I was just thinking the other day that I too have learned a lot - I am in my 60s, was taught thrift from an early age, brought up a family and have always been careful (with the odd indulgence!). I have always cooked frokm scratch and made things when I could - and I am delighted with this forum and what I have learned!

Bless you Kellylea...that's just a wonderful post :D

I'd consider myself to be pretty supersqueakytight and OS to the Nth degree...but even I learned something here recently (how to make butter with whoopsied cream) however much you think you know, there is always something new we can teach each other.
