I feel the same about this board. I have never cooked and baked so much and this thread really gives me the confidence. I also now have a slow cooker which not only has saved me money but also time on a evening so I can walk the dog for longer not panic about what we can have for dinner. I'm going to have a bash at making a christmas cake this weekend, and all from a girl who used to make a meal with the help of Mr Marks and Spencer....0

Well done:D I am always amazed by the mine of information contained within this board and even though I've been signed up to it for 4 years [more of a lurker normally] still learning loads. It really was a lifeline for me when my OH lost his job and gave me the confidence to know that we could survive and as it has thankfully turned, out thrive.
