Trumpetman has freaked me out a bit now. Has anyone actually bought this Windows 7 offer and it go through ok?

I have bought Windows 7 Pro through Digital River. I also ordered the back up disc, which cost an extra £9, total £39.
I used the disc and not the download link to install Windows 7. Because the disc requests that you back up your current OS. I meant that it used up too much space on my hard drive. Leaving me no room to install my programmes. I have a 50GB partition for my OS and programmes.
I ended up reinstalling W7 by formatting the hard drive and doing a clean install.

I have also ordered Office 2007 Enterprise from Software4students. Ordered on Saturday 24th Oct and still not received a week later :mad:
I know there is a postal strike on, but I have received DVDs from other online sellers a few days later.
Not happy with the service from software4students so far. They have a page on Facebook. Seems like negatives remarks are deleted.

I had a similar issue when I ordered Office 2007. I got the back up disc, but the Invoice belonged to someone else. I've no idea who got mine.

I ordered Windows 7 from Software4Students on 21st October and have still not received it. Getting packages from other suppliers without issue :mad:

I ordered Office 2007 Enterprise from software4students late on Friday 16th October and it arrived on either Tuesday 20th or Wednesday 21st.

Always received from them within the week but with the current postal strike I think you have to expect it to take a little longer.

Never had a problem with them - if you are worried email them and ask the status, they are very good at replying.

I have emailed them. They replied that although it was despatched 2 days after my order, I was not to bother them for 21 days or words to that effect.

I will be giving them a ring in the morning. I think they are just playing on the postal strike. Some people ordered before the strike and still haven't received their software.
Why don't give an option to have tracking on their website?

I ordered this at the beginning of November, windows 7 professional, I was told the download wouldnt work becuase of the upgrade path I was following, so I also ordered the disc. It still gave me the option to download it, so I tried, but it failed. I waited for the disc, it has never arrived, they've had my money for over a month, and still no disc. The DHL tracking number they gave in the shipping confirmation never worked in the first place, saying no shipment. The order number when I try to log in to the digital river site to see progress is not recognised! They have NO phone number! They do not respond to emails for ages, if at all. They say they give NO refunds! I am very annoyed and I have decided now I don't even want windows 7, I have asked for a full refund and intend to stick with vista until Chrome OS is released. If anyone has a phone number, or an email address that actually works, please let me know. Microsoft should be embarrassed for letting a very unprofessional outfit handle this. Pathetic. I have been ripped off by Microsoft!

You might be waiting a while considering ChromeOS is only being released for specific hardware configurations..
