Morally its wrong, Its legal yes. Why would you do it though?0
-
Why not? Its an easy way to make money, if you sell it to someone for less than rrp then everyone is happy no?0

I know this might be a bit obvious, but this deal also applies to FE college students and also if you're staff this deal also works (as it just seems to be about the domain of your email, which will be .ac.uk.0

https://www.software4students.co.uk selling Office Enterprise Edition for £35 (£39 i think with postage) which surely cannot be beaten? Mine arrived today and I've installed it fine on two PCs. One of your family has to be a student for you to be eligible for it (cheers sister!) but they don't check.0

I've just bought this too. Might sound like a stupid question but I received 2 discs (one says April 2007 Microsoft Office Ent. 2007 and the other Sept 2007). Are they both needed for the installation and if so which do I need to install first? I've got a trial version of Office home and student on the laptop at the moment so I am assuming I'll need to un-install this first too. However, if it hasn't yet been activated I assume I wouldn't need to. (Dad's new laptop and not sure what he has activated or not yet) Is this correct? Sorry, lots of questions. All help much appreciated as always.0 -
This comment is out of date - although a set of European versions of Windows 7 was planned by Microsoft, that idea was scrapped, and Internet Explorer will be present in all the editions of Windows 7. See this (Microsoft) Windows 7 Team Blog (for example).gandalf999 wrote: »Because Internet Explorer is not included in the European version of Windows 7 it is not an upgrade. Does anyone else think it's gone too far when Microsoft aren't allowed to include their browser with their software package? Yes it hasn't been forced yet, but how long until it is?
I could understand if it was adding an extra cost to the custome,r but it only inconviences them further.0 -

One of the discs is Microsoft Office Communicator. Frankly, I'm not too sure what it is, I think its for people doing business to send work to each other and chat to each other. Realistically you and I won't need it.
To install you only need the disc with the product key. I'm not going to even install Communicator because I won't ever use it.
Yes uninstall the trial version of Office first or it could cause you trouble with the installation, regardless if its activated or not.0 -
Be warned about Digitalriver, who are the ordering side of this offer. I used my credit card to pay for this deal , my wife is the student. It took numerous attempts and many failures to do this. Yesterday I received a phonecall from a student person who I had never met saying that he had received my order confirmation for windows 7. This order had my name, telephone, address and email on it. Digitalriver have breached the Data Protection Act, they promised to call back after I told them about the issue, they have not.
I wonder who else has had this email? The person who phoned me also would have had access to the download I had purchased.
I am now off to my bank and will be phoning my credit card company.
Be warned Digitalriver are pants, steer clear of them, tell your friends about this. They ought to be boycotted.
Very very angry trumpetman0
