It really doesnt matter how many people are in your area, if you think how many playgroups, nurserys, primary schools etc are in your area there is plenty of business to go around.
One of my team lives 200 yards from me, apart from team meetings our paths never cross.
Good luck with home schooling, doing Usborne will certainly help to grow your kids personal library

Lesley is absolutely right! I have been Usborning for nearly 6 years with a strong local team, and we all can't physically cover all the events that are around.
Plus some people only join to get cheap books for their own families/friends. Or just sell at their own school etc.
Good luck if you do decide to take the plunge!0 -
Hi
is there a set target you have to meet? and if so is there a penalty charge if you don't?
Also can you go to fetes and maybe big carboots and sell or promote there?

Thanks....so if i joined.....do you have to order stock? or can you do it like on an customer order basis so they order books then you order them in?£844/£22,774.31 debt to pay

You can just do it on a customer order basis, and order the odd one or two here and there if you want. Or if you do an event like a summer/Christmas fair if it's local and just take orders, then you can put an order in and use the hostess benefits to boost your stock. But you don't have to buy any stock if you don't want to. Although if you want to do those type of events, it's sometimes handy to have a few boxes of books!Mum to 2 cheeky little monkeys!Usborne Books at Home Organiser0

I often lend stock to members of my team if they dont live too far away, but if you start out doing parties your starter kit is sufficient.
I would advise anyone not to buy too many "stock books" as we are in this business to make money.0 -
Yes the starter kit is perfectly adequate to start you off
It has a great selection in.
Whereabouts are you Fallen8905?0 -

Just wondering how well the websites work if you have one and how long the pack takes to come?

Im seriously considering this, been going on the website and reading, and reading around the web and I like what I see. I also have a few (2nd hand) Usborne books for DS, and they are lovely.
Is there anyone here who does Usborne in the Kent area.
What I am seriously considering doing, is Phoenix Trading and Usborne at the same time. Will start Usborne first tho0
