StephW1996 said:Hi, I am looking at starting Usborne books and was just after peoples opinions on them. I have read a few things in this forum but it seems quite old so I am after some more upto date info.
I am a Primary School teacher and also help run Girl Guiding Units so have plenty of contacts to sell to.
Is it worth the starting costs and my time?
Is it also right to assume sales are up now The Book People are gone?
Any info or opinions are welcome! Thank you xx
Usborne is a great choice for Primary School teachers - we have lots of them in our Teams. Usborne and teachers go hand in hand! You'll have lots of knowledge of our books, plus you also have your trusted teaching expertise. We also work with schools to help them get lots of lovely free books for their libraries and classrooms, so this is something you'll be able to offer to your own school (and any fellow teachers). The starter kit is quite low to most other direct selling businesses, so it's not much to spend out. Plus you'll have over £150 of books to show for your £48. Our sales are massively up, and they rise year on year.
Hope that helps, but feel free to get in touch if you'd like any more info. I've been working with Usborne now for almost 15 years, and I love it! Wouldn't still be here all this time down the line if I didn't, and it has worked well for me with earnings.
