Hi all
I'm interested in joining usborne at home I wondered if anyone on here may be able to help. I've done a lot of reading about how the commission works, how to earn benefits in the first few weeks etc. However here and there I've seen mention of the organiser having to pay little extra bits for the free bits. For example paying £2 towards the party host freebies, and then there's the £3.50 delivery. Are there many more of these little bits that eat into the commission? Also, am I right in thinking that to have an order sent to a party host for example it's an additional £2 on top of normal delivery charge?
I'm really keen as I think the books are beautiful and am really keen in working with schools and organisations but I'm also trying to be realistic about what I would get out of it
Thanks for reading, any advice appreciated0 -
Hi. Is anyone here an Usborne Books at Home Organiser or was one in the past? Or do you know some that is or was one? What is your experience with them?
Would you recommend that someone joins and why?0 -

Hi - I've been with Usborne for nearly 15 years now and absolutely love it. I've always been able to flexibly work around my children (especially at this time), I've helped lots of lovely ladies (and a few gents) over the years to build their own businesses, I've had a lot of free books along the way for my own children, and I've had a lot of fun (and still am!). They offer great incentives for people that want to go for them, but equally they don't have any targets, so work as much as you want.
As a company, we have proven to be recession proof, as people will always spend on their children's education, even when money is low. Our sales last month were massive, and we've seen our biggest ever April for joiners too. Happy to chat to anyone that might be interested and wants help answering any questions.0 -
Hi everyone,
Has anyone had any experience with selling usborne books? I saw an ad today about it, it's a bit like Avon but with books
Just wondered if anyone had done this, is there anything I need to look out for and is it worth doing?
Thanks!

I've been selling Usborne Books for almost 15 years now and it's the best decision I made. I've been able to fit it around my children and earn a good income, enabling me not to have to go back to an office job that I hated. I absolutely love working with Usborne, and it doesn't feel like work. The books are gorgeous, so sell themselves, and everyone is familiar with our brand. We sell over 3000 titles too ranging from birth to young adult, so plenty for all ages. You can work with schools too to help them get lots of lovely free books for their libraries, and you can also build your own team if you want to (this helps you increase your income). Happy to chat more about it with you if you like. I have a lot of experience in the business

Hi, I am looking at starting Usborne books and was just after peoples opinions on them. I have read a few things in this forum but it seems quite old so I am after some more upto date info.
I am a Primary School teacher and also help run Girl Guiding Units so have plenty of contacts to sell to.
Is it worth the starting costs and my time?
Is it also right to assume sales are up now The Book People are gone?
Any info or opinions are welcome! Thank you xx0 -
Okay, so I an interested in strating to sell Usborne books and have been in contact with a couple of people on facebook who already sell them. I am also aware there is a thread for this already but it seems quite dated.
Is it worth my time and money? Do people actually buy them much?
Are they selling more now The Book People have gone?
How popular is selling the books? I dont want to struggle against others, and as I know of there isnt anyone myself or family and friends know of who sell them.
I am a Primary School teacher and also help run Girl Guiding Units so already have lots of people I could sell to if they were interested.
Any info, opinions or advice welcome! Thank you x0
