I agree totally! The reason i have chosen Usborne Books is because i am passionate about books and child development/learning. I am also Level 3 qualified in Childcare Learning and Development.

This should make it easier for my promote and sell.

Ok if you want to be involved in Multi Level Marketing where the leaders earn money from people like yourself efforts.
  • I wish the postman would move quicker lol. I posted my form off yesterday morning and i am now waiting for my welcome email. I am sooo excited but getting a bit impatient lol.

    Yes it's in Usborne's handbook/contract.

"As an Usborne Organiser you are not allowed to promote or sell any other books or similarly competitive products (1) while representing Usborne, nor to recruit anyone else to do so. Failure to comply with this code of conduct is considered by the company to be prejudicial to the company’s interests (as per the current Organiser Agreement). Usborne Organisers should identify themselves as such, and must not represent any other similar product at the same time.
1 “Similarly competitive” should be construed as any product that, although not branded as such, might reasonably be considered by a passing customer as being part of the Usborne range - e.g. cards, games, toys, pre-school activities. While other more unlikely items (e.g. home-made crafts, telephonics) might not be judged to be “similar”, in the company’s opinion they may still be incompatible and/or prejudicial to the brand of Usborne, under the terms of the
    Organiser Agreement and Handbook."

It's also in the DSA regulations too - it's not just an something Usborne do.

Taken from the Direct Selling Association Code of Business Conduct
    "RELATIONS BETWEEN MEMBERS
11.3 Members, sponsors and direct sellers shall not entice or solicit direct sellers from other members or other direct selling companies. "

  • Fallen - if you want to make sure your form has been received you could always give them a call to check? The number will be on your copy of the agreement, or your mentor will be able to check online for you.

  • Fallen, emails are usually sent at 3.30pm

Mishka there seems to be a mix, some people use their names, others use bookworm etc. It is entirely up to you x
  • If you are going to use Facebook for your business page, I would search for anything you might be thinking of using first e.g bookworm, to see how many other people have had the same idea.

You could always add your location to the end of the name (on Facebook) to differentiate.
