debit card snob!

Hi
I have to admit I liked getting my gold natwest debit card out of wallet and using it when I went shopping... call me a snob or materialistic but i did....BUT ..... now they have sent me a replacement which i can only describe as vile!!

Its a purplely pink colour and looks cheap and nasty! I dislike this card so much I may move bank accounts!!

Is there any one who knows a bank that allows me to be snobby again and apply for an account that offers a gold debit card (with no monthly fee)

Thank you

Not off the top of my head gold cards are becoming a thing of the past in my book.

But to closed your account visit a local branch they will close the account for you there and then if you have a nil balance.

I understand what you mean. I disliked the Lloyds TSB 2012 'Limited Edition' debit card so much, I took it back to the branch and told them they could keep it. I now have a cashpoint card which doesn't have the logo anywhere in sight.

TBH does it really matter what card you have?, i mean does it make a different if you use a gold debit card or a normal debit card?

I have a Gold Barclaycard with a incredibly huge credit limit, do i use it just to try and impress other shoppers....no! Oh and i got this card in my first year of university!

  • Didn't Platinum take over as being 'better' than Gold?

  • You can have platinum cards with Barclays current accounts - the condition used to be that you had to earn over £15k.

Snobs don't use debit cards anyway, they use credit cards.

Can't help but wonder why it would matter although I do like Lloydstsb's debit card as it has a lovely black horse on it.
