Found this thread after a search as I was wanting to see if others were getting rather peed off with GP.

I have been a member for a few years and initially didn't have too many problems. Just lately it seems nearly everything I buy through them, after months of waiting for the Cashback, I am then told sorry we have not been paid so we cannot pay you.

I am also really really peed off that they do NOT publish any negative retailer reviews. I have tried on numerous occasions to leave constructive criticism on retailers who do not pay out but they are never published. I have emailed GP to ask this question on more than one occasion and have not had the courtesy of a reply.

Yet again tonight I see I am not being paid for a watch I bought from H Samuel. Funny thing is I bought a second watch a few days later, same process and have been paid for that but for the first one I get the usual sorry we have not been paid.

I now have Priority Club Visa who have shoppers rewards to earn more points so I think now it will be them and Nectar as I am totally scunnered with GP

im having a problem with greasypalm and just cannot contact them.........my partner purchased an over 50s life insurance plan on 25th november and shouldve got £70 cashback.......

its been showing as pending ever since........

since beginning of february we have been trying to put a ticket in to see why its still pending but, it keeps saying this isnt over 120 days and thus you cannot put a ticket in yet........but, you have to put the ticket in before 180 days

on 25th feb i began to worry as it was getting to 3months......so, i tried again and still got above.......ive been trying ever since to put the ticket in but it still wont let........

ive tried using the why hasnt my thing tracked ticket but got that it is more than 120 days old and thus we cannot check for you

im so confused and not sure how i contact them properly now??????

any help sorting this out would be appreciated...thanks

    Hi Magoogy

As your transaction is pending, you cannot raise a ticket until after 120 day (roughly 4 months) which should be around 25th March. As long as you raise your ticket between the 120 days and before 180 days you will get a reply. Once you have raised your ticket it will be kept open until resolved.

These pending items are a real pain with GP and can take months before you get your payment. Insurance transactions seem to be the main bulk of pending items with GP.

Keep at it and good luck.

previously i had used them for small amouts and got it no probs, only problems i had was when i got near the payout amount suddenly transactions were reversed, but got a couple of payouts

    however...

this year, i was looking for a deal on broadband, cashback on bt was great, £70 for broadband and calls which made it cheaper over the year than plusnet (closest competitor in rural areas)
so after getting the order sorted i waited, and waited,
nothing on my greasypalm account, so went to the click through history, bt shown on the correct date - raised a ticket and they say "We have had the retailer check this missing cashback claim, unfortunately we have been unsucessful in recovering your casback.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may have caused you"

that's it, no explanation on an offer with no conditions!!
in the meantime £50 was credited to my account and then reversed.

contacted bt directly and they said the offer was greasypalms responsibility but they said they could easily provide the information on my sign up for greasypalm.

greasypalm then closed the ticket as resolved as
"I'm afraid we are not given individual reasons why they reverse a transaction.

Closing ticket to help other members. (Please do not reply unless it is absolutely necessary)"
although bt say they have nothing to do with a transaction or have anyway to reverse a cashback award on any external sites

great customer service, now i've got a 12month expense with no cashback, useless, will not be using them again

I have been waiting for a payment from them since the 1st june, they say a bacs payment takes 10 working days. We will see they are really not reliable.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Same here. Submitted a ticket and got the same '10 working days' response. Really fed up with greasypalm now.

Same thing happened with me a few months ago with GP. Stated payment made to bank, no payment forthcoming. Had to constantly chase. They said they then recalled it. Don't know why they had to recall it as it never reached my bank account, the same bank account they have paid previous payments into.

By the time they had so called "recalled" it I had missed the next months payment run so had to wait yet another month.

Totally unacceptable and I have stopped using them now. I have £10 awaiting payment but obviously will not get that as I am not prepared to go through them for another £15. I now use Quidco.
