I signed up to a FirstDirect current account 8 months ago through the Greasypalm website and for the past 4 months have been chasing them for payment of my £45 bonus through the Helpdesk. I have continually been told the retailer is being chased but today have now been told that the retailer has not paid them so unfortunately there is nothing more they will do. I'm not prepared to accept that, £45 is a significant bonus which they promised to pay me. What recourse is there? Is there a department at FirstDirect that I can raise my complaint with to find out why they haven't issued the payment?

Im the same boat myself. Waiting for £20 for joining ME Casino. I noticed when reading the reviews before I joined that other members had had their cashback tracked so it doesn't seem fair that mine hasn't, even though I can see it in my clicking history.

They closed the ticket saying there was nothing more they could do, I re-opened it again saying it had clearly tracked and that i didn't agree that some members weren't getting their cashback whilst others were and they have come back again and said they can't do anything and have closed the ticket again.

Is there nothing more members in our situation can do? It doesn't seem to me that they are that bothered about helping as much as other sites are.

  • I signed up with GP a month ago, went for a few of the high cashback offers and raised over £200. I was being promoted on their site as a 'top earner' for 3 weeks running then last week I recieved this email from them:
    Dear Lisa,

You account with GreasyPalm has been suspended due to Multiple sign ups. Please refer to our terms.

Your account will not be reactivated.

    Paul Knapp

I've sent a few emails asking to explain what they mean by multiple signups, as I've only signed up for each offer once but they haven't replied. I'd like to know what has happened to the money they've earned from me and to my £200 that was approved. I contacted Watchdog yesterday so hopefully they will expose these con artists.

I had lost count with the number of 'Bingo' sites I joined , played etc - and remained pending - and then told to wait 120 days before raising a ticket , and then being told there was nothing they could do!

I will not be using any of GP sites anymore.
  • I signed up with Greasy Palm in the summer of 2007, and my very first transaction wasn't tracked properly. I raised a ticket and it was sorted out, but in the last year or so I have to raise a ticket for practically every transaction because it doesn't appear within 5 days, and then wait 120 days and raise a ticket because it is still 'pending' - my diary is littered with reminders! I only have a few quid to go and I should get a payout so I am still using them, but I will stop once I have my money.
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

never used them, their name put me right off - - always imagine a couple of lads sitting at their computer, rubbing their greasy palms whilst salivating over their growing bank balance.

    I agree totally.
  • I've stopped responding to their bingo or casino offers now. I have not had a single payment from one of these offers. I have also had problems with websites that I have used in the past or registered with but then clicked onto via greasypalm. Payment appears as pending then just don't change despite opening tickets. Strangely this has not been a problem with cashbackkings.

I'm currently waiting on an incentive payment for a savings account offer. After that I'm closing my account they just seem unreliable and money grabbing.
  • has anybody out there received a cashback payment for Feb 10? my GP account states it was paid on the the 3rd but still not received anything?
Every day is a school day :T:T:T
  • I find Greasy Palm extremely unhelpful, and they do seem to be dreadful at tracking any purchases.

More importantly however, their wonderful 'feedback' section actually appears to be very misleading - you are allowed to leave 5 star feedback on a retailer, and any positive comments about the retailer, but try to leave genuine comments that are truthful but negative, you'll find they just disappear into thin air.

I have tried numerous times to leave 1 star feedback on a particular retailer, and comments about why I feel people should not even attempt to use that retailer, and although the a site accepts the feedback, it never publishes it. I have raised a ticket on this, which just keeps getting closed with an answer that clearly shows that the reader either cannot read, or does not speak english, as not once have they actually answered my original query.

I have since tried e-mailing the directors of the company, and shock horror, have had no reply...to me, that speaks volumes if the people that actually run the company don't care about their customers, how are any of their employees ever to care about customers' opinions???????????

Had to pester and pester and pester and PESTER them to pay out £37. Even contacted the affiliate manager for Wink Bingo as GreasyPalm said they hadn't paid. The aff manager assured me all payments had been made and eventually I got my money after harassing them on the ticket system constantly.

Avoid ALL Submission Technologies cashback sites like the plague. Quidco and TopCashBack are all you need. Even on the unlikely occasion that GP has a higher payout (which it wont), save yourself the b***ache and use trusty Quidco or TCB.

Additional: ensure ALL of your profile is fully filled in or they will not pay out. Another con-trick for hanging on to your cash.

Try to find out the name of the First Direct Affiliate Manager and contact them. GP will bend the truth like there's no tomorrow. You will be fobbed off continuously.

The more people that email affiliate managers saying how dishonest GP are etc, hopefully they will all pull the plug on Submission Technologies.
