Doh, what is it with me and not reading today!!!
Earlier I read an order wrong and sent two items to a buyer that only ordered one!!!
Bad day!!!0 -
The downside to using ParcelForce for overseas deliveries is that they will usually hand the parcel over to a delivery company in that country for the onward journey. You might trust PF but you have no idea who handles it from the border to the customers door!
Using some of the larger couriers you know they will handle door to door.
I don't know what country you are refering to, but for most of Europe, as soon as your Parcelforce delivery leaves the UK it is handed to it's European partner GLS (https://gls-group.eu/), which is actually owned by the parent group that owns Parcelforce, so really, your parcel isn't actually being passed to a 3rd party company at all :rotfl:Practise safe sex, make love in a Volvo

Any advice on 2.6kg 60cmx40cmx15cm to Finland insured £500, tracked obviously. Somebody reliable but not to pricey. I.e not Parcelforce pricey.
Likely to be a regular thing so also interested in heavier weights as well.
Ta
edit Just looked at Parcelmonkey and they're coming out at less than half the price of Parcelforce yet using Parcelforce.
Parcelmonkey say they're using a service called "Parcelforce Priority International"
closest I can find on Parcelforce website is "globalpriority" is this the same service??
And do we like Parcelmonkey?0 -

GWizz offer UPS Europe (2-5 business days) for £23.90 + VAT for that level of insurance. Don't know how this compares to your PM quote? It's cheaper than despatchbay for ParcelForce or DHL anyway (about £25.50 + VAT).They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

What post code is it going to in Finland? As this will have a bearing on which courier to use as they all have different "remote areas".
I have found Pharosparcel the best for Finland, as they use UPS. Although if it is going anywhere else than Helsinki it will be itella (the post office) that delivers it on UPS behalf.Practise safe sex, make love in a Volvo

Transglobal show the remote areas for the destination country. They also use UPS.
Yep ALWAYS worth checking first, I have got stung a few times after I have booked the courier I get a message saying pay £15 remote area fee before they process the order.
And I'm not talking Lapland here, I am talking 30 mins drive from big cities they deem remote!
FYI Greeneye, delivery time to Finland is usually 7 days. No matter what courier you use, unless you choose air. There was a time when a parcel website that has since been shut down was giving DHL Air service for £12. I sent some stuff weighing about 20kg from London to Finland, and they arrived next day!! For £12!Practise safe sex, make love in a Volvo
