Has anyone any suggestions for a small packet weighing 850 grams and 18.5 by 15 by 19 centimetres to go to Singapore.

Normally I would use Royal Mail.

The price for that has not put my customer off and he is asking for the cheapest price with tracking.

Does Royal Mail do tracking to Singapore?

    If not, any recommendations?

    TIA

RM don't guarantee tracking, however for £20.32 + VAT at https://www.wedelivertheworld.co.uk you can send it fully tracked.

Hi, I need to send a 2.3kg parcel to Australia, insured to £185, Parcel Monkey gave me a quote of just over £30 + £2.50 insurance which would be great but it mentioned something about VAT below and I cannot tell from the website if it is included in my price or not, nor how their collection works, as I need to know will they give me an indication of what time (morning/afternoon) the parcel would be collected. Anybody have the answers to these questions?
    kind regards, Mel.

Had a problem with myhermes services yesterday. I arranged for a parcel to be dropped off at one of their collection shops. the staff in the shop said that the order could not be processed because I was not a valid client therefore parcels cannot be dropped off.
I was most annoyed because I had pre-paid for the order and have used their services before.
I had to use Royal Mail services instead, now chasing up Myhermes for a refund.

There will not be any VAT to pay on parcels sent outside the EU.
There is no indication of pick up time you need to be there all day.

    Hi
I require a item to be sent from USA to UK - measuring 105 x 71 x 30cm & 11kg. The cheapest price i've managed to get so far is for £205 using UPS via parcelsplease.co.uk. Item is only worth £270 so obviously not too happy paying this. I've had a look at USPS website and even though it states
    Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG)**
    Maximum Value for Contents: $2,499.00
    Min. length 9-1/2", height 5-1/2"
Max. length 46", width 35", height 46" and max. length plus girth combined 108"
    1 - 3 business days

    Priority Mail® International
Max. length 60", max. length plus girth combined 108"

yet entering parcel size 42 x 28 x 12" - 25lbs on the USPS website it says my item is too big for Global Express or Priority International. How can this be? Does anybody have any suggestions?

    UPS - United Parcel Services

USPS - United states postal service

    Two different companies

The cheapest way I can find for that package is to get a https://www.myus.com standard account, which will cost $10, then ship it to MyUS using whoever is cheapest in America, USPS, FedEx or UPS, then forwarding from MyUs to the UK is $221, or about £140

Yes i'm aware that UPS and USPS are different companies....the reason i mentioned USPS was that if i enter slightly smaller parcel dimensions of 40"x20"x10" but keeping the weight same at 25 lbs then their online tool quotes me $110 for priority mail to UK yet anything above this size and their website says its too big...however their t&c's state that you can send items up to 60" in length provided length+girth does not exceed 108". Will email them for clarification as i'm pretty sure USPS will work out cheaper than courier companies if they are able to to accept this parcel size. Thanks anyway :)
  • It's because their maximum parcel size is smaller than your parcel. Simples

    Hi everyone.

Just finish reading the thread and I can say it helped me a lot. However I have some small questions.

I want to send in the next 2-3 weeks a laptop from London to Sofia, Bulgaria, bought on ebay. The dimensions of the parcel are L 45, W 36, H 17, 4kg, declared value £185. I've chosen gwizz for the price and because I did see some recommendation in the forum.

So my questions are: Did I chose well or better look for some other company, and can person claims from gwizz the lost or damages to a laptops?

Why, I am asking these questions? The problems isn't in Europe or UK the problem comes from Bulgaria where I know that a lot of damages and lost of packages happens with Bulgarian couriers. For that reason I prefer to use bigger company with already established name on the market, like UPS. However if I use the UPS website the price is around £120 (the plane ticket cost me the same with return) but if use gwizz the price drop to 28 + iva.

So can I trust them or not. I will appreciate any comments.

    Thanks
