I have registered specifically today to say how annoyed I am with parcel monkey.
Sold something on ebay on tuesday. Organised for it to be picked up using city link via parcelmonkey on the wednesday. No one came. I emailed that evening saying I wanted the collection to be rebooked and collected today. No one has come so I get onto livechat, they apoligise for the inconvinience and asked whether I wanted to get it rebooked for tommorow. They should have already rebooked it for collection today!
So thats two missed collection dates, my ebay buyer should have got it delivered today!! I paid for a next day delivery, i hope they deliver on saturday or else I am going to be really annoyed , it could end up being monday at the latest they recieve it!!!! They should have recieved it today
Also i was busy typing on live chat whether compensation / refund was possible and the agent logged off and terminated the chat!!! Grrrrrr
I am now having to apoligise to my buyer saying how sorry I am when its not even my fault , i just hope they are understanding considering their parcel could be 5 days late when they and I paid for next day delivery.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hi Groovers, used Interparcel today, booked a collection at 12.20pm and requested UPS as they are simply brilliant. I was a little sceptical that they would turn up to collect this afternoon and have kind of resigned myself to the fact that it would probably be tomorrow when they collected. Low and behold about an hour ago, they collected as scheduled. They really are excellent - worth the slight extra cost. :j0

You can book with DHL up to 1pm, it only tend to be remote areas or smaller depots that have an early cut off. We've booked after 1pm and still had collections that afternoon.0 -
Hiya
Just to let you know that ParcelMonkey finally answered my email, and the parcel should have been delivered today (Just waiting to hear from my buyer)
Anyway, I have gone to log into my account today to send another parcel, and my user and log in aren't recognised.
Surely they havent removed me because I've complained and asked for a refund?!
GRRR
Anyway, now looking through this thread for an alternative company!!0 -

Hi
I need to get a piece of furniture from Enlgland to France and I have seen ads for a delivery auction site called Anyvan on some of the French Forums. Anyone, had any experience of using them?
Thanks0 -
Hi, never heard of them. What about trying boxby.co.uk or shiply.com?0

I used Parcel2go.com for the first time yesterday I paid £9.99 + VAT for a collection with HDNL between 7am and 12 (am pickup ). They eventually turned up last night at 20:30
After talking to there customer service on their live help. After long silences I got a goodwill gesture of £4 not much for a wasted day
I am not very impressed and hopefully the delivery isn't as messed up
I don't think I will using them again0 -
Hi,
I am so glad I have found this thread, so much usefull information and help!
Up untill now I have been using a small third seller to dispatch my garden planters. However I have gone to book with them today and there prices have gone from 10.99 to 35.00 overnight. The problem is they were the only company I could find that would ship my sizes.
I am looking to send 2 parcels
One is 160cm x 40cm x 40cm 25kg
The other is 120cm x 60cm x 40cm 30kg (just under 30kg to be exact)
I can send between 1 and 5 of these parcels a week. After 12pm cut of would be helpfull but not essential.
Thank you in advance for any help anyone can offer.

£10.99 to £35.00 sounds as if the carrier has shifted parcels over 1m/1.2m from standard parcel delivery onto a freight parcel delivery. They've cut the max length in order to get more parcels into freight and make a bit more money without putting up the headline price. Which carrier was it?
Try a UPS service, they work on the basis of girth rather than simply maximum dimensions, so can be quite good with the long/thin parcels. DHL worldwide also don't have a "maximum" however a lot of DHL uk prices are domestic not worldwide, so you will see maximum dimensions.
There is a big difference in pricing between 29kg and 30kg, so make sure that you double check the weights and if the parcel is under 30kg don't put 30kg into the online price quote.
DPD have a cut off of 1m, so they'd be no good.
Parcelforce I think is 1.5m?0
