I don't get what MetaPack do? They don't arrange one off deliveries, it's a full system for big shops? Are they just looking to get eBay shops and PowerSellers on-board?

You can't book via their site can you?

And DHL are there but you can book the same DHL services on collectmyparcel.com for less?

And.. (last bit), I'm surprised myHermes can use the words best value - how can you define best value?

Hey ho, frying my little brain tonight!:o

Metapack are more a 3pl (3rd party logistics) type company, where the combine the actual delivery with the distribution, sorting, labeling, allocating to particular carriers. Defintely a big company solution, but I have seen them around recently chasing the small company business. I can see that there would be some fit in with the powersellers.

perhaps you can explain why on one you felt the need to add your email address?

I did that for people to email me if they wanted more information on the ebay shipping hub than I can give on this thread.

I am not allowed the private message option.

Dear 'Parcelmonkey company representative'

How pleasant to see that you have time to spend here, especially as no staff have any time to spare to answer my mails sent directly to PM.

I've been using PM for 5 - 10 collections per week for approx 6 months now with no problems whatsoever, but now, and unsurprisingly, as soon as CityLink stop collecting and are replaced by the useless Home Delivery Network, immediately problems begin......

A 'Next Day' delivery parcel should have been collected from here Monday 17th May, but it wasn't picked up from the usual hiding place at the rear of the house, as HDNL came instead of the usual 'CityLink' (The info to pick up from the hiding place was put onto my order form as usual, and the CityLink courier always collected from there no problem)
HDNL left a 'sorry we missed you' card, but the courier obviously hadn't read the full info on their manifest which clearly stated where the parcel was.
I then called the HDNL automated line and rebooked for yesterday Tuesday 18th, and as a back up, did the same online. (Both times, the booking was confirmed) I waited in all day yesterday and no one came, despite the rescheduled bookings.

I mailed ParcelMonkey Monday night but there's been no reply at all.
As there's no phone number for them on their site, and 'Googling' produces no results, I can't even speak to a live person. (HDNL is just as carp, having just an automated phone number)

Now here's where it gets very weird......
I decided to go back onto the HDNL website tonight, and add the order number to the tracking box - I knew it shouldn't have said anything, so I don't know quite why I did it, but unbelievably....it says the parcel now at a South Devon depot! How very odd, when I can see it in my hallway.

Tracking info for the invisible parcel:

17/05/2010 01:38:00 DEPOT The parcel has been received into depot
17/05/2010 10:13:00 VAN The parcel has been loaded on to the drivers van
17/05/2010 18:09:00 DEPOT The parcel is in the Depot

So, the upshot is, HDNL haven't come back today because they believe they have the parcel!
How do you sort out a collection for a parcel that is registered as in the system already ????
I've had to send a grovelling mail to my buyer who paid for 'Next Day' delivery. I reckon I can kiss goodbye to my 100% pos feedback as a seller, and I will have to shell out to post the parcel tomorrow 'Special Delivery' at the Post Office.

Mistakes happen, but the lack of customer service from PM is unbelievable - I didn't realise how bad it was until I came on here and Googled to see just how many people have real complaints.
At a minimum, I should have received a reply by e-mail or telephone today, there is no excuse for the shoddy service.

Tara

Hello Tara100,

Please email me at matt@parcelmonkey.com so I can look into your problem.

Some on here get a bit upset if we were to start talking in detail about the problem you have.

For the record City Link have not been replaced by HDNL but we did trial larger volume through them over the weekend. From Monday things were back to normal.

I agree you should have had an email reply from us following the mistake by HDNL and for that I am sorry.

Hi,

Does Parcelmonkey offer online tracking? Also is it DHL you use?

Thanks

I believe they do have on-line tracking, it's not DHL for UK but CityLink.

Matt I have mailed you as requested, as there is still no reply in my in-box from PM.
I'm finding this situation more and more surreal, as it is you who has responded to a non urgent sales query I had in the past, so why haven't you responded to me through PM about this matter?
Do your customers have to come here to get help?!

Please can you give my personal mail your full attention today and respond accordingly?

HDNL left a card here on Monday afternoon, so their services had still been switched from CityLink past the weekend period.

• Hi Tara100,

I have sent you an email confirming a full refund will be paid before I read you post above.

From Monday all bookings made were back to normal and I re confirm the fact that City Link have not been replaced by HDNL for all domestic shipments.

Hi,

DHL are used for our International orders. This is a fully tracked service.

City Link are used for the majority of domestic shipments along with HDNL for the larger items. Both services are fully tracked.
