I'd always thought sub 2kg to USA was cheapest airmail with Royal Mail small packet at about £23 unsigned for or £28 airsure but i'm sending 2kg to USA with parcelmonkey DHL express for £15.99. I would expect it might be quicker than RM and there is good tracking.

What size is the parcel that's sub 2Kg? I keep getting £25.49 from the Monkey?

Scrap that, if I drop the size right down I get £15.99 - how can they do that?
• Our new International prices will soon have a document service for up to 2kg covering some countries such as the USA.

The pricing structure has been set up alongside the normal price for shipping standard parcel sizes and because it's lower it gets shown first.

Hence the reason why some lucky customers have sent orders for £15.99

This has now been changed while we finish off the document service.

Sorry we can't charge £15.99 all the time but as jordanryan spotted that would be impossible.

I should have kept quiet - £15.99 would have opened up new possibilities in export :(

It seems that HDNL did some good deal for all the companies as Interparcel also offers them now (at the price as UPS economy before) and they are still not here even though I told them we shut at 5!!

Agree - booked HDNL through Interparcel who stipulates a collection by 5pm but still no collection!!

Phoned them and they said it could be collected anytime up until 7pm!

Why write 5pm on their website then???

Hi

Can anyone advise on who to use (or what to do) about sending a parcel that's currently in Germany to Australia.

Thanks.

Hello Tara100,

Please email me at matt@parcelmonkey.com so I can look into your problem.

Some on here get a bit upset if we were to start talking in detail about the problem you have.

For the record City Link have not been replaced by HDNL but we did trial larger volume through them over the weekend. From Monday things were back to normal.

I agree you should have had an email reply from us following the mistake by HDNL and for that I am sorry.

The Parcel Monkey representative helped me out on my problems and eventually I managed to get a refund of one of the parcel lost. :T

Thanks

transglobal.org.uk are cheap.

I used them yesterday to send a 5kg parcel from the UK to Ireland, via DHL Europlus.

The other sites wanted at least £20+, Transglobal only charged me £17.04 inc VAT.

I would be concerned about using Parceleasy as there is absolutely nothing on their website that gives you any indication of the person or business that you are dealing with. A non geographic number, no contact details, no company details and a website that was created in 10 minutes flat. My concern is what indication do you have that they'll be there next monday. Personally, i'd stick with parcel2go in your situation with 20 parcels a week, at least there are real people in a real office in a real building, with company details, filed accounts and a VAT registration. Which if you're sending out near on 100 parcels a month, you should be bothered about.
