Morning all
I'm a bit late this morning- it's Taplady's faultshe mentioned the Coal House at War programme so I was watching it on i player instead of talking about my meal plans on here.
I've been out spending money on buckets and mops -I know how to have fun meBought a lovely cream painted metal bucket and matching dust pan and brush plus a wooden mop (all from Homebase). Took my manky old plastic mop, bucket and dust pan to the tip, plus all my Amazon packaging -don't know how I'd got so much:o. Also took a pile of cookbooks to the Oxfam bin at our recycling centre. Feel all light and clutterfree now. Mmm:think: there's a lesson there....:o
Breakfast was beans on toast for the kids jammy toast for me.
Lunchboxes have salami sandwiches, choc and rasp muffins plus fruit. I will have something similar.
Supper will be a repeat of yesterday's. I have half of the squash and lentil pie left and rather than eat it for lunch for the rest of the week I thought why not have it again tonight? I'll do some different veg and maybe a rasher of bacon each to make it seem like a different meal
It's bright and sunny here so the washing is out but it isn't warm so I'm not holding out much hope for it drying.0 -
Hello again  - speed read the thread...Bitsy - sorry you are so tired honJanie - hope the results are through soon for you.
Molly - big supportive hugs for you
Nomoneymummy - Sorry you are poorly hon but maybe now is the time for your OH to learn how to cook something basic?
Aussie - Flashforward is brilliant isn't it?
Celyn - sorry your OH's ex is still being so difficult
taplady - I am fine - just feel tired despite sleeping through. Or maybe because of it..
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -

We're actually ahead of you so that means we see it first.
Lol. I have too many TV things to watch now lol but usually I can sneak a look at some spoilers!0 -
Thriftlady I don't mean to pee on your parade
but watch that mop bucket. I got it too and it is now very rusty so I suggest you dry it thoroughly after each use.
I'm going to put mine in the garden to plant bulbs in for the spring.
The girls seem to want to make a huge batch of high heeled shaped biscuits smothered in cerise pink icing.

Oh-oh. I did wonder. That's probably why they were replaced by plastic ones wasn't it? I'm already having misgivings about the dust pan because it doesn't lie flush with the floor, and the brush moults. Oh well you live and learn:rolleyes:
Thanks Haribo:)0 -

Afternoon all :hello:
A cold start here - frost on the car caught out DD2 this morning. It's now sunny though which is very cheering. I think I might walk to work today as I shouldn't need the car for any errands.
Have been swimming, bought groceries, made a large spag bol, now need to wash up, put on BM & WM then off to work.
(((Hugs))) to Jayne & Bargainbird and anyone else who wants/needs them.
Bitsy - you have my sympathies, I remember those days well. Hope you manage to get some rest later.
Have only quickly whizzed through today's thread, so apologies if I've missed anything. Hope you all have a good day.
