Good morning!
Bright autumn morning here but not heard the forecast for later. Managed to get 3 loads dry on the line yesterday so not too bothered although I would like to potter in the garden later!
Bitsy I agree a bit of snuggly duvet time might do you all good in the afternoon.
Molly I know what you mean about waiting for grown up children to come in! DS2 has moved back home whilst he does a Masters degree. When he was away at Uni it never bothered me if he stayed out all night as I didn't know but now I can't settle until I hear the key in the door!
Porridge again for brekkie! Will probably be soup for lunch and tonight I'm making chicken fajitas. Not made them for ages but found some tortillas in B & M at a silly price which reminded me how much we like them. I know I could make the tortillas myself but still taking fairy steps with all this OS!
In my defence the peppers and onions are home grow
Off to work now so hugs to everyone especially the poorly and anxious people.
Special hugs for Jayne and George.

Redruby - we've had some sort of tummy bug here too, hope your ok now
Crikey its freeeezing today, but still no heating:D. DD's are all hat and scarfed up, DD2 is a bit of a hat fanatic so loves this time of year. Must, must must pop to wool shop at some point and attempt to crochet hats for girls and me
1 load of washing done, dog beds to wash, and a mountain of ironing which i still haven't done.
Looks like another dry day, but car will need scrapping (as in ice;)).

Tesco gave me a leaflet yesterday which showed roast pumpkin with a roast dinner - anyone tried it?? Will it be like marrow, think I may have mentioned on here before that I love Marrow :rotfl:
x
Love roast pumpkin, never had marrow so can't compare but I do mine chopped in chunks with carrots, parsnips and potato's all roasted in the same pan, I serve this with HM pies or roast dinners, Yummy with sausages and gravy too... ohhh I'm making some tonight now!!
Has gone to play on her own little world for a bit..... but its ok the voices in her head came too so she's not alone0 -

My only stumbling block will be he wants me to sit with him (he's all clingy since starting nursery) and with DD in tow it's not that easy.
Hi Bitsy, Same situation here, since DD2 started nursery tired and grumpy afternoons then a night of waking every few hours.... Its a pain!!! Clingyness is here too, she's always been a daddys girl but since nursery she's constantly following me everywhere, Its a pain for getting anything done!!!
DD1 did the same and it took 4 months to get back into a cycle, know its a hard time but it does end (Im hoping!!!!):D

Morning all, sorry for the speed posting, was reading through and replying,
Will read whole thread and reply properlly in future (have smacked own hand will not do again )
All off school still (chest infections and no sleep), Made lovely HM soup yesterday and my first ever HM bread!!,
Though it was tasty really didn't feel like it again for dinner (kids had soup for lunch then sausage n mash dinner), so OH suggested ordering a pizza...
was very lovely but know I have tummy upset!!! Only me who's affected as kids didn't have any and OH has a stomach of steel (he lived with a group of lads before we moved in together and developed one out of necessity!!)
Am feeling ohh so sorry for myself and tomorrow its back to work in the eves for 7 straight so may be a pj day here, cant think of any reason I need to go to the shops, and have no extra kids today unless my friend drops of her poorly one and she's seen me worse before...
Thankfully have left over soup for feeding kids for the day so I can avoid cooking and risking passing on!!
Not sure about tea tonight, OH still never cooked a meal n the 7 years we've been together so theres not much chance of him starting now!!!
Hope everyone has a good day!

Hi all,
The central heating wireless monitor has broken and i'm cold! Had to use the 1hr manual override to put it on this morning as the temp was 15c and looking on line for replacement, don't make this model anymore, the nearest model no costs £89  so its phoning round to come up with an answer today as i have to keep warm , at the moment i look like michelin man :rotfl:
the car has it's annual service today so fingers crossed for that, apart from this, everything is wonderful at my house !!
Lots of cleaning today [to keep warm !] and fancy stew and dumplings for tea, lunch will probably be peanut butter sarnies on hm bread.
Have a calm day everyone,
cazSaving for another hound :j

:hello: Good morning!
I got up at fairly silly o'clock (6.30, though i do realise most of you are "up and doing" at that time) because our new sofa is coming this morning :j and we were given a time slot of "between 7 and 11". Last time we had a delivery of furniture (from a different company) we were given the same time slot, but they rang at 6.40 to say they were just up the road so it was panic stations, so wanted to avoid that this time! However, they rang at about 8.15 to say they hoped to be here in about an hour (in London rush hour traffic, make that more like 2 hours, lol!), so that's not too bad. DH has moved the old sofa to under the window for the time being, until we can arrange to get it taken away, and it actually looks really nice there, somehow the room look biggerSadly it doesn't leave enough room for me to draw both curtains
Went to butcher's yesterday and bought some neck of lamb and sausages. I used the lamb for a casserole last night (with onions underneath it and thinly-sliced potatoes on top  It was lovely, and the meat was only £2.79. Tonight will probably be saus and mash.
