Have answered your pm about OH and hospital. He's there tonight, being kept overnight. Had another biopsy because the other one came up clear.........this was a different sort...............doctor can't get round to see him till 11 tonight :eek: So, be some time tomorrow he'll be home. I was going with him but felt so awful when I got up, sneezing and coughing.........OH said I'd best stay home. hospital wouldn't thank me for taking my germs in and as he's stayiing in I'd have had to ring foster daughter to fetch me home. Don't suppose we shall get these results for another week............all getting closer to christmas. OH is saying he'll tell them anything that needs doing can wait till new year...............mad thing ! No way will it. If he's in hospital over christmas, well we can always have our christmas another time............not the end of the world is it.

yesterday afternoon my perfect baby duder died, i dont know why. but he was so much more then a cat he was my baby its the only way i can explane it. i have never loved anyone the way i loved him . i dont want to live without him never mind do christmas ...all his cat treats are all ready warped.

He was your friend and companion.Its natural to feel sad and lost.
What you are doing for your brother shows you are a very caring person and care deeply.You made a cat very happy and have improved your brothers life immensely.

hob - I do feel for you and losing your dear cat. I've got three and had cats for years..........every one of them have been part of the family and its heartbreaking to lose one of them. All I can say is big hugs (((((:o)))))).
Looking through your thread I had a thought -why don't you print out as much as you can of what you've done and how you've coped so well..............be a good 'pick me up' read when you're feeling down.

jetty - OH came home from hospital this morning and we should get biopsy results next Tuesday (its always on Tuesday ). All he had to eat was a sandwich !! Told nothing to eat for 4 hours before biopsy.........then thats all he got afterwards ! Honest, if he'd been arrested he'd have been better fed.................lol

I'm really pleased to see your sister has been in touch and that you've seen her and the kids. Sounds like you had a fab time.

I'm really sorry to hear about Duder, that's awful news. I know how important pets are and how close we get to them. We have 3 cats and a greyhound, and one of our cats is missing at the moment and I'm worried about him.

Try and remember the nice times you had with Duder and you can always come on here and 'talk' about it with us.

if you ring social and ask for a communtiy care grant form you do not have to pay any money back to them. it to help your brother pay for any think he needs like cloths,bed etc

I think you are an amazing person. If you can't cook why not buy a cooked chicken? and have it with some frozen or tinned veggies - easy to cook. Or even make it up into posh sandwiches, my fave is chicken, stuffing and cranberry sauce, served with chips , yummy!!
It's your Christmas so you can make your own traditions. Have you contacted Citizens Advice about your benefits. Also try, your local voluntary action group they may be able to put you in touch with people in similar situations or support groups. Just been reading all these posts and threads and have to say to the OP. You are such an amazing and inspirational person, I wish there were more people in the world like you.

Your brother must be so pleased to have a sister like you looking after him.

You've also shown how far you can come just by reaching out for support here. I'm sure that in the future you'll be able to cook etc (one of my best mate's was like you, couldn't cook to save her life, but when her first baby was born when she was 24 she HAD to start learning! Now one of her best meals is a sausage casserole made with a Homepride Cooking Sauce, YUM!).

I also think your arts stuff is amazing. Did you go to art college? Would you think about going to art college? Some of your ideas are great too, in the future you could train as a tutor I think... you have got some talent there young lady!

Anyway, all the best, and I hope you feel able maybe to get another cat soon. I have 2 and I'd be lost without them.
