Take your time, first of all I'd need to join the Flylady thread and tidy the kitchen, then meal plan before shopping etc etc :D

I had no idea there was bullying on the OS forum. I have, however, read every reply to this thread and as the 211th poster I can clearly see who is irritating the hell out of me. And I could see how this particular poster could be hurting other people's feelings.

If there is an ignore button so I never have to see this poster's replies again will someone please tell me?

If you go to user CP (control panel) - it's at the top of the page - you can edit your ignore list - just add the member name (you can copy and paste it from one of their posts) and tick ignore!! I did it a year or so ago for one user who seemed to be following me around the boards trying to start an argument. It actually makes me smile now when I see a thread that person has contributed to - you get a message 'this person is on your ignore list'!!! much less stressful than reading narky comments aimed at me!! I must admit I don't tend to bother contributing to many threads since - it did put me off a bit...

Oh good come on over! We are always kind and never bully. Even Soappie behaves herself on there:rotfl:

Back to bullying I found last nights exchanges interesting. 'knowing' Soappie I was sure she would not consider herself being bullied but not 'knowing' her sparring partners I had no idea how they would be feeling at their keyboards. That is the tricky thing for me you just don't know how the other people will take your comments.

PMs - I've only ever received kind pms and my box is in need ofclearing out so is often full. Is there as option for people to 'lock' their box if they don't want to receive PMs?

  • No chance, off to work :)

You can disable pm's or if you put someone on ignore then you won't receive any pm's from them.

No but I could give you some tips on polishing your gun and cleaning the crumbs out of your car.

This thread has left me baffled/disappointed and sums up why I don't post on here much any more.

It seems every thread attracts 1 or 2 posters who 'like the sound of their own voices' and have to comment every 2 or 3 posts. BORING!!! These are the sort of people I avoid in real life and irritate me.

It's such a shame as there are some really great people on here, but if I made a grammatical error/typo I would be greatly offended if someone had the cheek to correct me, totally ignoring the theme of the thread. Who appointed some 'helpful' members as the grammar police?!

To be honest, I think quite a lot of the postings on this thread perfectly illustrate the OP...
  • The point's been made now and hopefully those involved are aware, let's get on with saving money now!
