Clearly the BBC need to employ some people like O'Leary, he walked all over the BBC reporter.
Did the BBC say in the programme that Electron Cards are not available to everyone?.. I may have missed something.
They certainly are available, as most of us know.0 -
They are not available on every accout & i think this confuses people, also some can't be bothered to get an account with one.0
-
The comment was there are no Electron Credit Cards - there wouldn't be Electron is a brand name for a debit card!
Can't see the point in the programme. I don't like Ryanair so I don't use them - easy.0 -
You can get a Bank of Ireland Prepaid Electron from the Post Office http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump2?catId=19300207&mediaId=26800661

Really? I have a Visa Electron business credit card in my wallet.
It's a common card in both Debit and Credit varieties in Eastern Europe and in Scandinavia.
Just shows how lousy the BBC 'journalism' actually was. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
The programme was nonsense and the journalist looked like an absolute idiot by the end.
About the editorial control. If they record an interview and broadcast it uncut then surely by definition nobody has had editorial control. What's wrong with that?
The problem I have with the programme is that everything negative they said was somebody's opinion and everything positive they said (not that much) was an undisputable fact.
For example, the "usability expert" said that the website was designed to confuse people. Then we found out that 96% of people managed to opt-out of taking the insurance. Perhaps she is not so sharp for an expert.
Next point: Ryanair's planes have some of the fastest turn around times and they get as many flights out of them as possible every day. But then they said that Ryanair has one of the youngest fleets around. So what point are they trying to make?
Next point: pilots only get 45 minutes to plan their routes. Is anybody here a pilot? Do you really have to put a lot of planning into a plane route? Aren't they pretty much set in stone? Surely pilots don't fly any direction they feel like? And even if it's not enough time, name me a job where you don't sometimes have to do a bit of extra work in your own time? Especially when you are earning as much as a pilot.
Pilots don't get free food? So what. Why do they think they are entitled to it? I don't get free food at work. Incidentally, Ryanair claimed that this was incorrect. I don't know why either organisation would lie about this, so I assume it was just a mistake.
Although Panorama did grudgingly admit that the pilots were well paid, promoted young and have good job security.
Cabin crew don't get free training and have to buy their own uniform. So what? My employer didn't pay for my qualifications. And Ryanair have claimed that they do get a uniform allowance after a year to stop them losing money over people who resign quickly.
Sorry for the long ranting post. And if I don't reply for a couple of days it's because I am going to Riga tonight. £10 each way with Ryanair, no taxes or extra charges!0 -
Oh yes,and the cabin crew no longer get 2 litre bottle of water each............ha ha ha..welcome to the real world....0

Just goes to show how O'leary's love child doesn't pay attention. He said the CC was not available in THIS country (meaning the U.K.)
Crikey, an Electron business CC, you must be a top earner in Poland:rotfl:The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

Stoneman - Electon's not a credit card it's a debit card and readily available in the UK. I got mine by opening up a Halifax easycash account, but there are many other ways of obtaining them.0
