Thanks for your support, I used to do a lot more crafty stuff when son and nephews were babies. Need to get into it more.
Don't really like the age thing!! If someone asks me my age, in my head I am around 28, and when I talk to my friends I forget that we are all getting older and some are grandparents!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Have checked BB and won another fiver yesterday afternoon while I was busy watching Lord of the Rings. :j
I got a lecture yesterday from my sister about not spending too much money now I'm out of work. Explained that Christmas shopping next week will almost entirely be out of free money. She was not happy about the bingo until I explained how the free money works. Then she said 'its not much money though' I have averaged £4 a day - wish it could continue forever, that would make a really good dent in the debts.

Did quite well with the food shopping yesterday, spent £39 in Morrisons, but that included black socks, flannels and cheap pint glasses, so that money has come out of Christmas pot. Also spent £4.80 in butchers, so basically under my £40 budget. Think there's enough food for the week, but will have to get into this meal planning lark!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Hi gilligansyle!
Only just seen you've got a diary - where have I been living?!
Will subscribe now and catch up later. Have a good day, Mac xx0 -
So much for the budgeting. Son was out last night dj-ing at a party, and didn't get in until 3 and had to go to work this morning.
Usually on Sunday he goes on his bike as the trains don't start running in time, but decided he couldn't cycle as too tired and possibly still drunk., so gave him a lift. On his way out he said, 'I've taken a bit of food' . Got home to discover that he'd taken a loaf, tub of spread 2 tins of beans, some ham, 3 packets of crisps and a box of mince pies.
He couldn't have carried all that on a bike! Just as well he can just sit there all day and do nothing much.
Have ordered the turkey. We go to sisters for Christmas Day, so don't really have a lot of food expense, so this is my only contribution, I buy and cook the turkey, to take some of the pressure of her. Son is working Christmas Day, he volunteers, as most of the others have children.
Pastry for mince pies to be done today, and will dribble a bit more brandy on the cakes.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Thanks, its more for my benefit really, I seem to remember to do stuff better if I put it on here. Maybe its the idea that someone else will see it and remind me.
I try to catch up on everyones diaries at the weekend, but often get engrossed in reading what has gone on, especially the long running ones.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Yes, that's how I treat mine. I feel if I written saying I'm going to do something, then I have to do it - otherwise I'm back to procrastinating. Hence the name of the diary
Will catch up later, I've got Christmas Cookies to bake for a school coffee afternoon tomorrow!0 -

Not too bad on the budgeting front after all, son brought most of the food home and gave me a fiver to replace the rest. He can be good at times.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
